German studio guru Vincenzo is a familiar presence in these parts. While his productions are intimately tied with Berlin, he’s something of an honorary Australian, having recently relocated to Melbourne. His new album Wherever I Lay My Head even includes a track called Tasmania, produced on location in Hobart after a two day hike.

Wherever I Lay My Head has been a long time in the making, and it contains Vincenzo’s most personal work to date. As such, it’s not all about the dancefloor. “His trademark sound fuses deep house with the warmer side of techno,” our reviewer wrote. “If you combine this with his craftsmen’s knowledge of telling a story in his sets, he’s in good stead to slow things down a little.”

The album should keep Vincenzo busy for the months ahead, as he continues to tour for his home label Dessous. The release of Wherever I Lay My Head brings us to this exclusive mix on ITM-FM. Vincenzo tells us it’s a part of his set from the album release party at Eleven in Tokyo earlier this year.
