After featuring mixes from Marco V and John Askew, our Godskitchen Countdown rolls on with 25-year-old production prodigy Ben Gold. He’s passed this session over to inthemix, which features some of his own remixes alongside names like Gareth Emery, Shogun and Leon Boiler.

As one of the brightest talents in trance, Ben Gold has built a formidable portfolio of tracks. His most recent team-up with Emery Flash (featured in this mix) is doing big business on the Beatport charts, and this month alone he’s also released a remix for Solis & Truby and a collab with Jonas Stenberg called Day Break. This is not a guy who suffers from many dry spells in the studio. His work-rate and all-round finesse means his productions turn up regularly in leading radio shows like Armin van Buuren’s A State Of Trance and Above & Beyond’s Trance Around The World.

Gold is also an in-demand DJ, and the European summer just gone was his busiest yet. Recent highlights include a storming set in the Godskitchen tent at Global Gathering UK, a debut at Toronto’s world-famous club The Guvernment, closing the main room of Cream Ibiza back-to-back with John O’ Callaghan and, in the same trip, a prime spot on the line-up for A State Of Trance at Space. Next stop is Godskitchen in Australia, and you can expect the young gun to be in firing form.
