Seekae - Live on Fridays inthemix
Wed 21st Mar, 2012 ITM-FM 456 viewsin
Last Friday, electronic whiz kids Seekae dropped in to ITM HQ to kick off our Fridays inthemix series. If you missed the live stream, you can listen again to the two-hour session right here on ITM-FM. As you’d expect, the guys arrived with a fine selection of tunes from atmospheric bass music and four-four through to hip hop jams. Not to mention, of course, the dance remix of John Williamson’s True Blue.
After their visit to our DJ booth, Seekae took its new live set to WA for the band’s first headline shows of 2012. The new material is getting another run at the Sydney Opera House in May for the Vivid LIVE festival, which will see the guys filling the stage with their array of drum machines, synths, samplers and instruments.
This Friday 23 March, the band will release +Dome Deluxe Edition, which is, as you might’ve gathered, a freshly-minted redux of the much-acclaimed debut album. The deluxe edition features three bonus tracks: Sir, Altise Lament and Face Facts. Find out more at the Rice Is Nice website. In the meantime, you can enjoy Seekae’s skills as selectors right here.
