Emerging as a prominent force in the Australian club milieu, Cassette has found herself spinning interstate and internationally alongside some of the biggest names in the biz. “I started DJing in 2008, whilst producing and co-hosting a weekly radio show with DJ Ajax, and also running a weekly party for Fuzzy called Sounds On Sunday. Inspired by the wealth of talent around me, I bought a set of decks, got to work and have never looked back!”

And lucky for us that she hasn’t. Since then Cassette has conquered some of the best sets in the country, playing an enviable list of festival sets including Parklife, We Love Sounds, Splendour, Stereosonic, SOCO Festival, Playground Weekender, Pacific Festival OC and Future Music Festival. But it doesn’t stop at the Aussie border for this dynamo of the decks, with her growing reputation leading to international attention – picking up club and festival gigs in Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Orange County, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.

And high profile supports? Well she has them in spades. Cassette has been called on locally and Internationally to support huge names like The Chemical Brothers, Empire of the Sun, A-Trak and some of her own personal favourites John Digweed, Jacques Renault, Hot Chip and Aeroplane.

So with all this success live, it would seem that there’s nothing left for Cassette to conquer – except maybe a She Can DJ winners title. But after months working hard in the studio on her first release, this Sydney native can now claim production credits to her name – a debut single Greetings Earthlings (which features Cassette’s vocals), as well as a remix of Van She’s new track, Jamaica. “Dance music is my passion! DJing, touring and making music is all I want to do,” she explained. “I have been working at this for a long time and really can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m honoured to be in the top 10, but winning the competition would be amazing!”
