I agree with Oddy. You keep on promoting in the forum's mate probably will then allow people in here to share their views on elements such as:

1. Venues
2. Artists/DJ playing.
3. Music genre's
4. Messy bits of the night
5. Whatever....

It's called being pro-active about getting you're (not all) whinging asses into some constructive conversation, rather than tearing down everyone that tries to post a view, opinion, or promote an event. God knows, if it was for people like oddy, plugging these events, none of you would have anything to do!

Cheers!

How is System 6 Reboot shaping up... what are people saying?

Mr S

Paul, maybe check the system 6 site for that?
It's almost sold out and will no doubt be a huge night as they usually are.
Maybe check one out one time here or in Brisbane.. they both do the biz

What was the verdict? Jake didn't think it was as busy as last time... (in the review)

If you are a raver then they may be the biz, but Paul.... I think those days are gone.

Discerning musical tastes nowadays. Well, I was never a raver though!

I don't deny I was odd :P

13 year olds who love Detroit techno.

There's something weird there.

:)

Then again, I remember some shaved head geezer wearing tie-dye back in the day... the Levels experience.

Jake wasn't there for the whole night and had some input from other people, and as usual, most people don't arrive till around 12:30 - 1am for the last 5 hour onslaught.
The problem with the young punters these days (well at Rush anyway), approximately 200 people sit outside most of the night (I still don't understand why) and when a DJ they want to see comes on they run inside,
so rush was at about 80% capacity most of the night with this happening. Also with the Clipsal 500, The Fringe, and a few other events on, it wasn't a bad return for System 6 for the year.
I think it is the first System 6 to not completely jammed for about a a year, but the dancefloor was ballistic from 1-6am. There were quite a few regulars missing as well I noticed.
John Truelove didn't grab a great deal of people from my point of view.
We have Karim here on Thursday April 11 (at Rush) and that should be a sellout event as he is a favourite amongst the Hard House punters.
Next month, System 6 is at St Pills so it should be interesting to see the turnout for that. If you check the System 6 board, you will find that many had a great night.

I think is has alway been the case....

MrS says "The problem with the young punters these days (well at Rush anyway), approximately 200 people sit outside most of the night (I still don't understand why) and when a DJ they want to see comes on they run inside,
so rush was at about 80% capacity most of the night with this happening."

I can remember plenty of people sitting outside of LeRox way back!

Mr S

Yeah but not 200+ people though... maybe when it was roasting inside from a typical summer back then, or nights like Toxic/Liquid.

They don't make them like they used to mate (like us...hehe)

For many people System6 seems to be a social event - not just about the music. So they are just as happy sitting out the front chatting to friends as being inside listening to what they paid for. For me between the hours of 12 - 5/6 its all dance on the floor and the extent of the conversation is "hey, how ya doing?". I leave the socialising for recovery parties........maybe thats why this forum isn't as busy as others? Because it is seen as a place to discuss intelligent topics and not a place for pointless socialising???
This is a good thing.... i'd rather see a slower forum with interesting things to read than the same ol' same ol' of who wore what and is seeing who....
Hmmm but each to their own.... : )
