Hey people, well i have been collecting a few vinyls as some of u may know and have been listening to them on my mums old shitty player, but it just died cause i gave it to much :P and well while i am saving up for my technics etc.. i need a turntable to listen to them. I get get my hands on a Sony Professional Stereo Turntable. MODEL: ps-LX300H for $180 it has everything the technics do and all the others, is still in original packaging, and never been used, it has pitch control, start stop etc etc... Now do you people think i should snatch this up now just to use while waiting for those beautiful technics or should i just wait (like 4 months :P). Here is a link to what it looks like etc...

i saved up for my dex for about 6 months, and i could have went and bought something that was cheaper. But the light at the end of the tunnel told me not to, and so i stuck by my savings. I am now a proud owner of 2 technics 1200, and a technics dx1200 mixer......
i say wait for months and spend your money on the best, cause your gonna end up buying it anyway .....
good luck !

get the cheap deck if it is magnet driven...also, try stopping the record, but let the plate keep spinning (assuming use of slipmat ;))...then let go of the disk...if it plays 100% full tempo straight away, it is excellent value!!!

Dont buy that turntable (whatever it was). If you just need something to get you by till you get 1200's just go to cash converters or garage sales and buy a $20 turntable - it'll get you buy till you can afford the 1200's.
When it comes to mixers - dont buy American DJ - they are just cheap shit, when it comes to Technics........lets just say it's lucky they make a good turntable.
Best mixers are the Rane, Ecler and some of the vestax or Stanton ones.
