What do you think are the right prices for an event in Adelaide??
With internationals?
Without internationals?
At a venue that been used over and over?
At a new or newish venue?
I would really like to know... to see how things have changes!!
It depends on the size of the parties and the money spent on props etc (you should know that Paul)
System 6 is only $15 each month and you get at least one international and an interstate guest at each party.
Parties with locals only should be kept to a minimum with ticket prices (something at Heaven should be no more than $15)
Other shows like Enchanted and Stardust which have numerous international and interstate guests can be justified to the $50-$70 mark. Parties equivalent in Melbourne for example would probably cost around $100 or more.
People whinge about ticket prices here but we have got it good compared to Melbourne or Sydney
As Adelaide has a lack of venues available, some venues (like St Pills for example) do get used over and over but doesn't mean the prices of tickets should drop
Paul.. when I said this...
"Parties with locals only should be kept to a minimum with ticket prices (something at Heaven should be no more than $15)"
I am not saying Heaven shouldn't charge more than $15 for any party!
I was using this as an example like Heaven did for a party with only locals one long weekend not too long ago.
So don't try and get me in trouble with Jono matey *inserts a big finger* ;)
When you coming home mate?

General population..... $10 - $15 doesent matter about the venues accept that If they use St pauls you MUST MUST do something with production eg. scaffolding, lighting rigs, something to make it different from the other 1000 times it's been used.
Me... I'll pay anything go anywhere to see someone who excites me.
eg: Anthony Pappa at Rise...... now that's a stretch *joke*

I would happliy pay $10 for a party for all locals if there is some additional production or a live act or show something to make it more of a night
I would happily pay $20+ to see an international again the exact amount would depend on the DJ/venuue/production and somewhere in between for interstate visitors. I am talking at parties in the 250 - 500 capacity
Top of my wish list would be Danny Tenaglia and Francois K (seperately as I want 6 hour+ sets from these 2) at Heaven
Do people think that there would be a big enough Market in Adelaide for these 2 Djs to charge around $40 at Heaven ?

Im happy to pay $15 - $35 for medium to big party with an international and a good local line-up. I'd pay $35 - $50 for an awsome party with a killer international line up. But usually there are earlybirds and i get the tickets early so i never have a complaint. UW with Grooverider is over priced for me ($50 - no earlybirds), just because Groovrider isn't my cup of tea, im not a huge fan of the goal and there are no earlybirds. Im not complaining - but im also not going. I would pay $50 -$100 for a well set up outdoor event, as there are usually only 2-3 a year in Adelaide and they are totally worth the adventure - im made my best party friends at outdoor partys.
