Hey there, Im needing advice from people who mix psy.
What is my better option ?
Should i keep my Tech's and mix psy on vinyl OR
Should i sell my Tech's and get CD Dex instead ?
Im really unsure with what i should do. :?
Please help.
Hi.
If you want to mix psy you'll need CD decks.
That's the bottom line. Sell your Technics if you must (although it's always nice to keep them for the memories).
But for psy, it's all about CDs.

unfortunately jaimz is right. I've got turntables and I mix psy, however I also mix a lot of hip hop, and hence love the vinyl feel. What I'd do (and am doing) is recommend that you keep the decks and try and save up for cd decks. Even if you can get one you can then at least mix between the psy you've already got on vinyl with cds

more music is coming out on CDs, then vinyl.
so, if you want the music...then CD-decks.
if you want to still feel nostalgic about this craft, keep the turntables.
it's inevitable, that you'll need CD-decks...or even Final Scratch or Scratch Live it !

definitely, final scratch would be a very good way to go.

yeah unfortunatly , i have to agree , as much as i would love to say that it is viable with turntables , it's just not , BUT - if u have the spirit and are willing to keep buying vynle , then go for it - i fucken love the sound of psytrance of turntables....

there are SO MANY things you can do to psytrance with cd decks that i doubt u can ever do with turntables.
depends if you like the 'NEW' sound of psy trance that has generally lost it's futurism and melded with the club feel of progression...i played on cdj's for a year and went back to turntables...if you like the majority of whats comin out in the 'psy' world then use cdj's or use somthing like final scratch. there is the occasional psy release on vinyl but it's usually more on the prog or tech side if not kinda crap tip release these days...

like what? mostly it's just looping and fx, which you can get on a good mixer anyhow...
i love scratching over psy :) (and i don't care that cdjs can scratch, it's not the same)
but yeah, if you like your new psy, get cdjs. fortunately for me i've been playing more proggy stuff, and there's a fair bit of that getting released on vinyl at the moment
