I lied about that last bit.

this months Muzik Magazine ($9.65 from Civic Bus Interchange Newsagent) has a free mix cd by the Midfield General. Appearing Habana on 27 August. Ged it. Ged excited. Or not if you don't want to.

Ministry australian magazine? i don't know why they bother.

Madonna. No reason she's just nice you know. the old stick.

um yes it is. but that my friends isn't saying a great deal. its passable as clubs go. and does a great service to canberra but the sound system is pretty poor and it is little more than a long straight room.

Well not really, just wanted to grab some attention. As Mr Bee says, Habana is Canberra's best club, at least in terms of music, atmosphere etc, but Insomnia kicks date over it as a building and Babylon's sound system is waaaaay better. Shame they just play Wild FM megamix really, except on the odd occasion. Hybrid @ Insomnia was brilliant and Ambience @ Babylon is always good.

Isn't there something good on at Babs this Sat night?

Hey I have heard the muzik cd and cant say that I was overly impressed with it. Have you guys listened much to generalisation or his live mix cd on the floor on skint. I found both of those ones far better. What do you guys think of midfield generals other releases. If there are anymore too could someone please tell me. I would be heaps interested on getting my hands on a copy.

I've got generalisation. Which i think is good if not a bit patchy. Heard the on the floor thing and like it well better than the free muzic cd but I didn't mind the free cd. It is free so i don't expect much. loved the middle of it. Can't remember the tune exactly but its either 7 or 8 maybe X-press and goes "can you feel it, can you dig it, do you want it". man its a winnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnner.

I don't know if there are any other releases by the General I know of. Maybe a few singles. Check out www.skint.org for the full run down. You may pick up some of the singles on the Skint compliations. They are usually good value. Brassic Beats i think there called. I've got vol 3 which has the ever ubiqitis devil in a sports casual on it.

I think he will be a winner live if you like a pretty eclectic set. anywhoo i lookin forward to it.
