Is anyone going to this? Are you all as excited as what I am?! This is going to be one of the BEST nights this year. As good, if not better than Carl Cox @ home and Dave Seaman @ Metro.
Only 4 more sleeps!!

Definitely a night im not going to miss. Canberra is so often overlooked when these international acts come through. Ferry Corsten was unbelievable and im hoping lawler will be up there- pity that the venue cant be UC anymore
i'm not from canberra can you please tell me where the club is, what is it like, the crowd, the other resident djs etc... please give me as information as possible. I just saw him in both syd and melb and was blown away. Please let me know asap

Oh My Fuckin God...i've been a Lawler fan for soo long now...i Got the chance to see him in sydney and anyone who went to Home will know what i'm talking about when i say ANIALATION. I bought my Ticket for Habana about a week ago. i'll be there down the front with my NuBreed shirt and a Video Camera... so if you see me say HI......
P.s Eric who???? hahahahah Go Lawler
YAY!!!!!! Everyone come to Canberra :)
if you need to know where it is etc go to habana we site http://www.clubhabana.com.au/
BTW - don't forget every Sat night we have an event called "Melt", where else would you only pay $5.00 to see Dj's such as Chris Fresh play?
There's more tix to be sold aswell so if you still want to go it's not too late, you can catch the train with my cool mate Helen who is coming down :) :)
ED-E
Well this Sydney boy will be there- Hope its a good show.
Lozzer ....
Club Habana
12 FRANKLIN ST MANUKA CANBERRA AUSTRALIA
Basically its the only Dance club left in Canberra since Heaven shut down....small venue(compared to places in Syd. and Mel.) capacity of about 350 or something i think....should be absolutely kick ass evening as this event will probably sell out, and if you havent heard us canberrans are absolute nutters as well....
should have a kick ass sound system for the night also as twisted(the promoters) always bring extra sound gear of there own....
Other Djs are pretty mad as well...except one of em has a big head...just jokes :)
sorry...didnt mean to overlook places like gypsy and babylon.... its the only regular weekly dedicated dance venue.....

Yes, there are still tickets left. (kinda disappointing - I expected that something like this would have sold out already)
$30 from landspeed and stocks. I'm not sure whether you can get them from ticketek or something if you live in sydney.
Go to http://www.sketchycrew.com for info about this amazing event.
2 more sleeps!! yay!

Hey Bubbles I was at both Carl Cox@Home and Seaman@Metro like you. I was wondering:
What you thought of both of them nights?
Did you like Cox Or Emerson.?
Seamen or Mass?
Personally i thought Cox was good but Emerson Was better for me that night.
At the Metro Mass suprised me and Played fucking awesome but Seamen was the man.
I guess you cant Mess with GlobalUnderGround DJs
2 more sleeps and a road trip to Canbarra YEEEEEAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

Hey all,
what a night this will be!
Twisted: i saw cox, emerson and seaman as well. i was blown away by emersons set - unbelievable! i also loved Timo Maas' work on the decks. I thought that Seamans set was a bit lacking - maybe that was just me cause i love his new Desire CD.
Lawler fans, you are in for a treat.

Desire was unbelievable your right. i Saw seamen@Tantra last year i think he did much better then than now...i think i liked hime better than Maas' cause i'm a GU supporter
ONE MORE SLEEP PEOPLE WOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
re. Emersons set @ Home with Carl Cox..
Blown away.. Probably not the expression I would have used.. More like utter shite. I heard A)the music selection b)the mixing c) was out the door, going for another walk to the car.
I was very unimpressed with emersons set, it did _nothing_ for me..
Mind you, then Cox came on..... and it was all good again.

Emerson... yeh well, lets just say that he shouldn't be a global underground DJ and leaving Underworld was a big big BIG mistake!

Carl cox was just AMAZING! it was one of the best nights of my life. I know why he has the status that he does. I danced from the end of emerson till 7:30am. God i was sore the next day!
As for tomic's comment on emerson's set, i 100% DISagree. I liked it, but unfortunatly didn't hear all of it.
I don't remember Dave seaman. I was a bit 'smacked out' though (sorry ful_sik, i know you hate that), and i couldn't get into the music. I REALLY regret that now, because the desire CD is just beautiful. One of the best CD's that i've ever heard. I love it. As for timo maas, i don't know where i was for his set. Probably in a dark corner somewhere talking.
Now, as for TOMORROW night (it's exciting to say 'tomorrow'!), it's going to be right up there with these two nights as one of the best of the year!

One_twisted: Not sure if you'll see this in the sydney forum, but it takes about 3.5 hours to get from George St to Northbourne ave in canberra. Depend on traffic though, and on friday nights, it's pretty heavy.

Thanks for that Bubbles.....so it i was to leave at say 5pm would i be there with time to have something to eat and then get inline by 11pm?
it's like 1:42am and i can't sleep...i'm dieing to be at canberra.....24hours and Lawler will be riping up the dancefloor.....
@home he played a lot like his Home London CD2
i hope @Habana he can give us a little NuBreed
one twisted ..that'd leave ya heaps of time.....lots of cafes and stuff around Manuka,,, and doors mightnt open right on 11:00 anyways....past events have opened between 11-11:30 ish because habana has an underage gig on fridays till 11pm and they have to kick all the kiddies out and clean up a bit before they let us 'grown-ups' in :)

Dear people... Darren Emerson @home totally blew me away due to track selection the journey and vibe he created within the walls of home niteclub... Unforgettable experience. Also Mr Steve Lawler totally rocked Canberra tearing the place in half, then ripping it to shreds all in the space of 3hrs... Killed his set @home & truly an unforgettable experience.. One word to describe the night..... "ANNIHIALATING" Those who were there would understand....
