PC - I'm currently living in Chile - the club scene can be described as ordinary at best (and absolutely terrible at worst)- there are however a few special events that keep us interested.

Coming up:

Oct 28 - Morcheeba
Nov 12 - Creamfields (Oakenfold, Prodigy, Infusion, Danny Tenaglia)
Nov 26 - BT & Roger Sanchez

Nothing else announced as yet for the Summer, but last year there was Love Parade in January, Fatboy Slim, Paul Van Dyk - so I imagine there will be something similar coming up.

Send me a PM and I'll answer any other questions you have.

If possible you might also want to head over to Buenos Aires for the South American Music Conference, December 10-11

Erick Morillo is also gonna be in Buenos Aires on the 2nd or 3rd November for the South American leg of the THIRST Tour

The Sth American Music Conference was October 14 - Tiesto & Ferry Corsten were excellent.

However Locitio has a point - Buenos Aires has a great clubbing scene, and is only an hour and a half by plane from Chile.

PC - when booking plane tickets from Australia the cost is the same for a Australia-Santiago return and a Australia-Santiago-BA-Santiago-Australia - effectively you get a free side trip to BA, and that is well worth it.

Hey,

I am currently travelling through South America and am really keen to check out a decent gig or festival...... To be honest, while i respect their love for salsa, latino and reggatone music.. I feel incredibly music deprivied of some quality electronic music...}.. hearing Gasolina at least 4 times every night.. is starting to have serious effects on my wellbeing.

I was in Valparaiso for NYE in Chile.. and they advertised a Ministry of Sound party on the water.. similar set up to the old mobile home set up.... head lining was Renato Cohen.... the reality is it was nothing short of woeful..... the entire night was all salsa and latino funk... which in truth is exactly what the locals wanted to hear.. but a little frustrating for others.. there was some Pommies that we meet there that were ropeable...

Anyway to cut this short... Can anyone provide any information on DJ{s, bands, festivals etc that are expected to come to Chile, Argentina or Brazil over the next 3-4 months.... does anyone know of a website...

I hear that The Rolling Stones are playing a free gig in Rio on the 18th Feb and they expect around 2 mil people..... which will be awesome... but I am really keen to check out some solid internation DJ{s...

Any suggestions?? Thanks.

Sasha playing in Valparaiso, Muelle Baron on the 13th of this month.

I was there in October and Gasolina was on heavy rotation back then , I know the feeling.

Did anyone go to the Love Pardade?

Paz y buenas vibras desde Australia

any suggestions for Argentina or Brazil in Jan / Feb / March....

I would think there would have to be something in Brazil for Carnival.
