dissapointed in gatecrasher???

the music at gatecrasher on saturday night was a real dissapoinment. why?

1. tracks were repeated during the night (did the internationals let chris fresh borrow their records?)

2 martin luther kings 'i have a dream' speech was a nice touch when it was first used about five years ago but totally overdone when played by chris fresh, ashley caselle and jon kelly (twice)

3 a lot of tracks were over five years old

4 'higher state of consciousness' is not a track i would expect to be played by a super dj such as jon kelly

5 john kelly sure worked the crowd by waving his arms around - what happened to pumping the crowd with fantastic tracks??

6 what happened to the quality trance that gatecrasher is renowed for?? - superclub becomes superdud while on tour!

i agree.

i didnt think much of the music either. ashley casselle started off with some ok tracks, but that was about it.

oh well, cant expect much from such a commercial outfit. a good setup and lighting tho.

I remember John Kelly played metro last year at the decadence birthday, never seen a metro crowd reject a DJ so badly front room was full half way thru his set, all the locals on the night were fuckin fab but he wasn't much chop. Was he much better on saturday ? Half the people I talked to say he rocked and the rest say disaster.
