with anticipation i just wanted to tell you all who open this forum, that i am going to PASSION. Already i have organised my car pooling from Sydney, and now all i have to do is wait. Congratulations Canberra for throwing mad-ass partiEs, ill do the time in travel b/c its always well worth it!

There is so much good stuff going on in Canberra at the moment, from Twisted and Passion massive events, to the smaller but every bit as vital things like Dose and Fang and State and Frenetic and Friction and Subtech and Melt and Lot 33 and so on and so on.

There is seriously more variety of music and more big acts and more great tucked away little nights going on now than ever before.

Canberra has never had it so good. And if things go the way they ought, it will only be a matter of time before we are taken a little more seriously in the rest of Australia. And i know this is already happening.

Can't wait for Passion myself - Tomic and I are gonna rock you block off - and that's a promise.

can someone tell me what the train guards are like on the SYD-ACT XPT Trains. are there any at all? Do they check? are there ticket machines in your train stations? where the hell is your train station

IF u know 'pvd fan' - Helen from Syd forum, talk to her about the train situation..cause she has travlled to Canberra just like u will be...

there are no guards stopping you from getting onto the platform at central
there are people that come around and look at your ticket once the train is moving and check that you are in the right seat (or have a ticket at all as the case may be)
the last time I travelled was over a year ago so maybe things have changed since then
i suppose you could try hiding in the toilet for the whole journey
it once took 5 hours when i was on that train so maybe that is not a good idea

Why the hell does it take longer by train?

Anyway, i thought id tell you that your own local talent is going to be playing at sydneys No1 thursday night -FRYDS THURSDAY DELIGHTS@icebox, kings cross on the 6th of september. when i get the full lineup details ill post them, and then ill offer some free entries for ppl who want to come across to syd on the thurs for it. Ill meet you at passion and give them out then.....

if you book 2 weeks in advance with Murrays (a bus company) than it's only $30 there and back, so get to it!!! it's heaps better than the bus, 'cos the train takes FOREVER, the train station's in the middle of nowhere, and the bus will take you to the city in Canberra (right near ANU).
