Church of Extacy was some of their best work in my book, legends! :)

I remember reading they were married?
Yep - discogs confirms:
Technohead / artists (T)
Real Name: Lee Newman and Michael Wells
Profile: Technohead is Lee Newman and Michael Wells.
Also known as Greater than one (GTO), Tricky disco, John and Julie, Signs of chaos, TD5, Church of XTC, etc.....
Lee Newman and Michael Wells were married and escaped the English dance scene and moved to Amsterdam. They worked for different labels and magazines all over the world. Lee Newman died on the 4th of August 1995. She had a sever form of skin cancer. She never saw the golden record "I wanna be a hippy" on number one. They escaped England because Fashion and trends obsessed the music scene. The british drugs policy is to not look at it, so there were too many criminals. He studied Visual Communication and has doctorates in Clean Arts. (Royal college of arts). Michael believes Techno began in Germany, experimental music from the 60's and not from Detroit!
Elevation, Church of XTC and I Want To Be A Hippy are all awesome tunes. From what else I've read he pretty much gave up producing when she died when she died as it was their 'thing' together, a look on Discogs shows only two releases post her death compared to the myriad of releases prior to it.
Here's an even bigger profile:
GTO / artists (G)
Real Name: Lee Newman , Michael Wells
Profile: Lee Newman and Michael Wells formed Greater Than One in London, circa 1985. The group was created to explore art through performance, recordings, and installations. They released albums on Graeme Revell's Side Effects label, WaxTrax! and ROIR in the USA, Torso in Europe, and their own imprint, K=K.
In 1990, they started releasing singles as GTO (because it was easier to spell) and Tricky Disco (to explore more techno and house music). As the rave scene of 1991 exploded, Newman and Wells started releasing singles as John + Julie, Church of Extacy and Signs of Chaos. They would later release albums and singles as TD5, The Salami Brothers, and Technohead.
In 1995, Technohead scored a massive worldwide hit single with "I Wanna Be A Hippy." In August however, Lee Newman passed away after a brief battle with cancer.
Michael Wells continues to DJ occasionally and record music under various names including S.O.L.O. and The Man as well as many of the above.
Thanks Midian, they were bloody awesome those two, GTO, C of E, Signs o Chaos, so many tunes, so many smiles :)
Farken tragedy for him losing Lee like that :(

"Elevation" - GTO (1992)
Probably my first piece rave of favourite rave tunage.
So freaky to learn of more people from *our* generation passing away. Another to add to the RIP thread (if she's not there already).
Never explored their other stuff (other than Technohead - I Wanna Be a Hippy - not my thing), so look forward to checking out the site.
Cheers.
he pretty much gave up producing when she died as it was their 'thing' together
That's so sad :(
According that info he's still actively producing non? (from the brainwashed site)
