Hello all,
Some friends and I are coming to Canberra next weekend and we would love to go out down there but we have no idea where to go!!
Could you please please tell me where the best places to go are!! I like any type of music but prefer hard house and trance!!
Thanks heaps!!

Hey Rhiannon...
Saw u at Ferry in Syd with Helen K etc..;-))
You can go to Adam Freeland which is on Friday night @ club habana (i think!!)
Unfortunatley that is all I am aware of but am sure there must be other mad thigns for you to do.
Have fun

Just a thought, why not skip the clubs and do all the touristy things?
Questacons interactive science exhibits rock. Go to the National Aquarium and feed the red kangaroos (weird huh?). Go up Telstra Tower. Hire a paddle boat and go for a cruise around the Captain Cook memorial jet. Visit the National Film and Sound archive. Head out to Fyshwick and liven up your lovelife. Drink the house-brewed beers at the Wig and Pen. Do a tour of the National Art Gallery. Take the afternoon and visit Tidbinbilla nature reserve.
Just some thoughts.

I would say that is all depends on what you want to hear or see...Its not a bad weekend to see some of what Canberra has to offer.
For mine...I would say Freeland @ Habana on Friday (mmmm..very sweeeet) w/ Anjay & Chris Fresh & Saturday start with Fuse and pop over to Habana, don't know if he is there this weekend, but try and catch Archies set if he is there.
Oh and recovery...My Place!!!! LOL.
Have a good time, what ever you decide to do Powder Princess!!! Hope to see you out and about!

Thanks for all the ideas guys... We still don't know what we are doing but it looks like Freeland on Friday and then maybe running away from the security guards on Saturday!! hehehehe
One more question, where does Karma play?? We saw him at Transmission and he was pretty darn good so we wouldn't mind seeing him either!!
Thanks again!!

Freeland will be breaks, breaks, breaks and more breaks, so if you don't like breaks....
Matt Chavasse does not play hard house, he plays funky stuff.
The man you want to hear is Archie, get to club habana at around 2am on Saturday (Sunday morning). Jimmy and Hypa rock hard too but unfortunately they ain't playing this weekend. Ken Jensen is good too.
Although Karma is a Canberra boy he rarely plays here, I think he gets more gigs up in Sydney.
cheers cyZilla, the art school ball lineup sounds pretty impressive
