So what is there to look at at this site?
Nice graphics, but not really any meat on the bones.

A free outdoor anthems party on the 21st with DJ Shade sounds pretty sweet.
Best of luck with it. Nuttin' better than outdoor gigs. Let's hope Howard's gestapo anti-terrorist squad doesn't rain on your parade. Too bad I'm 4000km away so I can only crank a set on the iBook.
Still Buggin... where does the name come from? Vagen's "Buggin" track (circa 1993)? What was that track all about anyway?
"We are buggin... ooh yeah!"
Does anyone know?
Psst. Let us know when your site grows past the title & forum. :)

I've always wondered that too. I thought maybe when ravers are gurning, their eyes are popping out, so maybe their eyes are bugging out?
My friend and I called that track "The Apartment" for years and years, that's what we thought they said in it!!!

Just had another listen...
"The-A-Buggin" is the main chorus snippet, though a solo voice says "The Buggin" a couple of times...
Anyway, and dare i say it, I thought it was a silly song, though the memories take me back 13 years (and every year since as it got played on auto-repeat).
As for mis-quoted lyrics, yeah, there were plenty. Such as...
"Take Me To The Shop" - Dream Frequency Feat. Debbie Sharp
...though we were takin' the piss. ;D
There were plenty of more, wish I could remember them all.

Yep, please record the set, Shade's in particular, and host it.
It'll sure get you some traffic too. :p

All this talk of Dream Frequency has got me listening (and this thread could do with a but more promo)...
- Closer To All Your Dreams
- Feel So Real
- One Nation
- Live The Dream
Though "Take Me" was probably the most popular in Sydney.
Dream Frequency (Ian Bland) really were the non-stop-rave-anthem-party-shop from '92, werent they.

.I thought now that the correct wording is actually We Are Buggin'. Although I haven't heard it in ages.

And that's what I thought in the start of this thread, 'til I had a listen again... and just now again with quality headphones...
...and I still can't hear "the", rather it sounds like "we".
The male solo voice that comes a couple of moments later after the first set of "Buggin's" is quite clear in saying, "The Buggin, The Buggin".
Have you got a copy there to hear again now?
/Those kooky European producers and their kooky attempts as writing English songs!

Yep I've got it on 12", at the beginning of the track it says "buggenhiem" then "buggenstien", then "we are buggin"... But the way you hear it at the beginning, there's no synths or anything behind it and you can tell that it's said with a very German/Belgian accent (i.e. unable to say the sound of W, it sounds like a V instead), so it actually sounds like Ve are buggin. Later in the track it's shortened to We're Buggin (Ve're Buggin).
It's the dodgy accent that throws you off haha, but he's pretty much definitely trying to say we're buggin.

Cool, thanks for the info.
Psst... I'll give you $5 for it (which is quite generous as I'm not that much of a fan). ;)
Hey, while you're here, what's the track that was often played by Paul Holden (eg. featured early SideA on his 93 mixtape and played at Fantazia NYE) that has female diva-ish vocals and italian piano riff (hmm... could be anything right?!!) and the vocal chorus line that goes like, "Beautiful angels in the summer sky, take me around the world...." and features the magic piano/vocal breakdown, "Oooooooooooooohhhheeee....yeaheeeeyeaaheeeeyeaahhh eeeee.... oooooooooooooohhh!!!!repeat etc. etc." and the odd male spoken "I feel good, I feel good"?
Any ideas? :)
