I'm very proud to announce that Phil Smart will be playing his first set in Australia after his 6 month overseas tour @ Freaky Business on Friday December 14 at Babylon.
Touring through American and Europe, Phil Smart has been performing at parties and clubs in San Francisco, London, Denver, and the famous Burning Man Festival in phoenix which attracts more than 30,000 people as well as many others. Expect to hear two hours of brand spankin new music from one of Australia's best DJs who was also the winner of the DMA best DJ award in 2000.
Kid Kenobi is the current DMA Best DJ award winner and is arguably one of the best breaks DJs in Australia at the moment. He has played with nearly every major international breaks act to tour Australia in recent times such as Fat Boy Slim, Adam Freeland, Tayo and Freq Nasty. Kid Kenobi will be sure to make the party jump.
Mr Fink has been busy in his studio working on a number of his own tracks as well as collaborating on tunes with Phil Smart, Peter Zane, and others. As well as spending hours in the studio Fink has also made special appearances at Vibes on a Summers Day, Scissor*Paper*Rock and The Chinese Laundry. His set will be a tasty mix of tech-house, tech-breaks and a selection of his own tracks.
Peter Zane placed third in the '94 DMC finals and has never looked back since. Apart from playing at a number of clubs in Canberra through the years, Peter now owns his own recording studio in Sydney and has been working with artists such as PNAU, Multiball and the Black Eyed Peas to name a few. Peter's style ranges from electro to tech house and breaks.
Bec Paton has been making quite an impression this year in Canberra. She has the skills and music selection to play a wide range of tracks ranging from deep to tech-house and breaks.
Ben Henderson's music can be categorised by the desire to unite the dance floor through mutual love of sound regardless of genre. Ben's sets moves through many styles ranging from hip hop to techno.
Without doubt this will be the best Freaky Business yet.
Tickets will be $15 on the door.
