while this may piss many people off, i would go but the acts dont really draw me in. im as big a breaks fan as anyone but alot of the acts they have are producing the same old stale kinda breaks thats killing the breaks scene. personally ive been really disapointed with what some acts are putting out when their previous releases have been soo kick ass,

IMHO the only really boundry pushing breaks albums that have come out this year are:
Tipper - Sound Off
General Midi - Genetically Modified
Various - TCR 50

or acts that are doing new things with breakbeat

yeah, i kiiiiiinda see your point, but who's going to analyse how each act is speeding along the evolution of dance music?... i'm going to see them DJ, spin some ass-wigglin-inspiring breaks, not produce tracks in a studio. How can you miss out on krafty kuts mixing it up?!! Come on PB... it'll be fun, yeahhhhh!! ;o)

i wasnt saying that i wouldnt go for the music and i would analyse it. The reason i refered to what they were producing is that many will play their own stuff or other tracks similar.

My point was id rather not fork out for it to sit in the sun when im pretty much assured of hearing scram about 15 times and the bushwaka remix of billy jean from every act who plays (ie gatecrasher), krafty kuts would be sweet, stylaz would be ok, but plumps, bob sinclar, ian pooley rather not

breakdown two would be a better event i think, as would rennie pilgrim @ fuzzy but neither of those is on new years :(

aye different strokes different folks i am actually looking forward to pooley and sinclair and the guy from naked music. its new years day crusisey tunes is the order of the day whether they be house or breakbeat, i could handle scram four to five times. honestly i think its a better value for 70 bucks than this years vibes on a summers day.Though layo and bushwacha! would be nice.

thanks for bringin it up PB, coz i really think that the bushwacka! remix of billy jean is quite uninspiring!... i don't see what the fuss is about :\ Whatyya reckon?..Is it getting alot of playtime coz it's just new and kind of a novelty track??... or is it one of those songs that pushed everyone's right buttons, but not mine?..

the bilie jean track is kinda funky, i liked it the first time.... but yeah its sorta a gimmick, not the greatest at all

Billy Jean track is alright aside from the 2 hour build up. They loop the intro about 4 times before the track kicks in. Quite funny watching people on the dancefloor though as they think it drops in and starts to dance, but then it just starts over again.
