Has anyone seen this yet? Looks brilliant. A quick snippet from Rolling Stone's review

Does George Clooney have a box-office death wish? You have to wonder why the star of Ocean's Eleven would risk his standing as a pinup for ka-ching to direct, co-write and co-star in a movie set in the 1950s, shot in black-and-white and focused on a fifty-year-old battle between TV newsman Edward R. Murrow, indelibly played by David Strathairn, and the Commie-hunting Sen. Joseph McCarthy.
Wonder no more. Clooney knows exactly what he's doing: blowing the dust off ancient TV history to expose today's fat, complacent news media as even more ready to bow to networks, sponsors and the White House. As Murrow said in a 1958 speech, which frames Clooney's dynamite film, the powers that be much prefer TV as an instrument to "distract, delude, amuse and insulate." Challenge is a loser's game.

Seeing this tonight... can't wait ;D

George Clooney is quite a good director; 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind' was brilliant IMO, and I'm really looking forward to seeing 'Good Night'.

i didnt like confessions of a dangerous mind, i found it to be really erratic and poorly directed.
i do, however, really like george clooney. i think hes a great anomaly in the whole hollywood scene and i'm glad hes starting to get the recognition he deserves.

havent seen good night yet but i am very keen to

Radge, did you like Sam Rockwell in 'Confessions'? I never paid much attention to him before Confessions, but he was quite good IMO.
The Damon/Pitt cameos in Confessions were awesome.

Clooney seems to be fixated on 50's/60's USA, as his movies are all based around that era.

George Clooney is such a great director. For someone who became famous from ER both his films are brilliant.

I really enjoyed this one. The camera work & the fact it was filmed in black & white made it feel so believable. David's performance of Murrow was outstanding. He truley deserved his oscar nomination. I loved how he came on the stage smoking away. Even George was brilliant too.

I was particualrly impressed that CBS supported the story. However in the end CBS couldn't survive without its advertising $$$$.

cant quite remember, the whole film was just a bit too disjointed for me.
i'm all for non-linear narrative, but this one really had no idea whther it was coming or going
