I wanna hear what my canberra folk thought of Gatecrasher... it was awesome for me, seein LTJ, roni again, and DE LAAAA!!!! not to mention Nubreed.... so did yall have fun or what??? The only low point was 4 me was bein in bexta's set for a few minutes.... yes, she is a girl, yes, she has breasts, it does not make her a good dj, look at a pic of her or somethin, but please dont praise her in my presence!!!

YES!, very good day/nite indeed. highlight was stepping into the main arena to hear Hybrid play sarah mclachlan's fear and their remix of Papeu New guniea... It sent shivers down my spine and set the tone for the rest of the evening.

I was also impressed by the fact that at one stage the breaks arena was more packed then the main dome. Infact it was so packed that they had to close the doors!... Now compare that to every other major event where the breaks arena is the smallest and has like 5 ppl on the dance floor...the crew at GC has good taste.
Roni Size played the most wicked drum n bass i have ever heard in my life, and MC Dynamite dominated the stage. Meat Katie's set was thoroughly enjoyable, preventing anyone from catching their breath after Roni Size. I stepped into main arena to hear Tall Paul and it was fantastic - he had me mesmerised. Nubreed was quite an experience: they really know how to hold a crowd, and infact had the crowd chanting along to Welcome like some entranced army of glow-in-the-dark natives . I also caught a glimpse of Lisa Lashes and altho Hardhouse is not my thing, I couldnt help myself from going nuts - well done Lisa. The one act that i must say i was disappointed in was Green Velvet. Wooden spoons clanking on tin cans would have been more pleasing to the ear then his set. It was tastless, dull and un-dancable. After such hype about how good he was in Melbourne, I was very disappointed. But apart from that i had the best time ever! one of the funnest and most fulfilling events I have been to!

All in all, a great party!

well palu, when you come over to check the legitimacy of my lego rave ill enlighten you further on some of the finer points of drum n bass seeing as you seem to have enjoyed yourself so much :)

Optimus, man ill never forget the look on your face during De La, must have been the happiest moment of your life.

De La was definately the highlight for me, although never a Hip Hop fanatic, it was fucking awesome. LTJ n Roni rocked my world too.

There were so many brits there, it was crazy! talkin to some of them was pretty kewl, and playin hacky with some of them, who had a crazy chain hacky was fun. And listening to Moxer pay out brits and their inferior country, haha.

ahhhhh good times.

lol, irish dude! what was his name anyway?!! He was a closet comedian (sarcasm) "what do you call a guy doin this?...*mimes like he is pointing a rifle into the sky*.... AMON! *he chuckles like the little leprechaun he was*" hehe, i loved him anyway. SO many characters, everything about CGSSS was right on point (except the sound rig in the main arena... the backslap made me shudder, Hybrid was still rockin nicely for our intro music :o)). LTJ and MC Conrad... dayum! i wasn't all that familiar with their stuff b4 then so that definitely blew me away. And things just got better from there! DE LA SOUL, yeahhhhhh baby!! Best thing i ever did see. I was in between the entranced Optimus Rhyme and the newly inducted hip hop fan Subsonic and i was lovin it! "i blame the fans for it, i heard demands for it, went to sydney and they holdin out they hands for it." -Plug Wan -------->that was golden. Meat Katie... with no disrespect... was anyone else shocked at how short, fat and old he was? Large, phat and hot tunes regardless. And nubreed... oh! They're gonna be huge,!How fresh is what they're doing?! All of them just mesh so well so the end performance is fookin siiick! I admire them lots, they've got alot of talent and a mad musical direction. Alright, i'm gonna quite now, i'm getting all nostalgic. TOO many memories. To anyone who missed out, fingers crossed for a GCSSS repeat next summer, see you there!

Palu....im from adelaide and went to Gatecrasher Melb. How could you slander Green Velevet like that???
Is it all about being able to dance to it??? He out on a GREAT show, doin stuff i have never seen before, and puttin on a great show, i was in awe and quite unable to dance cause i was just standing there just smiling.

Well Drem.... I wasn't at the Melbourne one so I wouldnt know, but in my opinion, Green Velvet in Sydney wasn't that good. Like Optimus Rhyme said... he mite've gotten better if we stayed for the whole set, but really in that space of time...there were so many better dj's to see.

i think palu showed which part of the room he/she stands in on the taul paul/lisa lashes comments, and it' s prob pretty positive given that, that he/she didn't like green velvet!

Bexta didn't DJ at Gatecrasher, that was a live set.

I had a shitty time. The set times were fucked up before they went and started changing them around on the fly. I saw about two acts. The event wasn't long enough. I think I'd rather go to a 48 hour event with one arena, with all the acts in sequence than having to CHOOSE.

Lisa Lashes fuckin rocked my world.

and how come no-one has mentioned way out west... Jody is a god... that set was fucking awesome... i was blown away... especially by mind circus, and intensify got the crowd going... that said, i had heaps of fun during hybrid, armin, sander, way out west, nubreed and others... but those were the highlights of my evening...
