Hi all,
Is there anyone else out there who starts salivating at the idea of breakbeat dons Layo & Bushwacka! doing a side trip to lil' old Canberra in January / Feb as part of their Vibes visit to Australia? I'd like to see that....who else perked up their ears?

Would be sweet, but do you really think Canberra could afford them? I spose we have had Freeland and Freq Nasty this year. Would you put these people on the same level fame wise?

Freeland and Freq Nasty are easily more popular than Layo n bushwacka! overall...
I would say that the people who went to freeland and freq nasty would be breaks fans and any breaks fan would @!#$ themselves if layo and bushwacka! actually came. i would say layo and bushwacka! would be up there talent wise... but that's just me

Talent wise, I agree.... I mean, im a bigger fan of the FreQ and Freeland but I cannot deny L n B!'s skills.... however I do believe that freeland and FreQ are more well known names, at FreQ nasty u'll have all die hard breaks fans, AND ppl comin just cuz they heard a dope track, or recognize the name, same witrh freeland... y...y ya knowotimean, yeh?

..... kooshty, i definitely know what you mean. I guarantee if you ask random people to name a single by FreQ Nasty it would outnumber those who could name a Layo & Bushwacka! track any day. Layo and Bushwacka! rock something savage tho. I'd LOVE to see em! How long before their possible canberra trip is confirmed/denied... anyone know?

Hmmm...in the interim time over Christmas I was talking to one of the Canberra dance promoters, who said he had no plans to bring Layo & Bushwacka! down here, and didn't know if a show in Canberra would actually break even....
Hmmm...unless someone else out there is interested, it looks like Canberra might miss on on L&B. I think especially this last year the 'visibility' if you like, of Layo & Bushwacka! to people outside the traditional 'breaks' crowd has definitely gone up (especially when you consider the number of remixes they've done this past year)...oh well, guess it means doing the mission to Sydney for Vibes (and being skint that week following the Big Day Out)
-Lookin' forward to Cass, tho
