What bullshit

i just waited on the phone for an hour hanging up and redailing for tickets to the V festival in august this year (at work mind you)

and now at 10:30am - ONE and 1/2 HOURS after tix went onsale there are already SEVEN pages of tickets on sale on eBay for them. Some fuckers are even already putting their reserves at higher than cost price

i really fucking wanted to go to this and now i'm just fucking pissed off

that does suck balls skully. i think most festivals will probably go in the direction of glastonbury, where to get your tickets you have to have ID, so people cant scalp or sell them.

i'm scared now that i'm going to miss out on festival tickets this year, i think i was just lucky getting glasto tickets last year

This really is annoying. Firstly if you can't get tickets because of scalpers. Secondly, if you have to pay ludicrous amounts to secure one from a scalper.

Problem is most promoters don't care as the tickets will be sold in any event, and they still get the cash in their backpocket!

there are now 21 pages of tickets on sale on ebay
how fucking disgusting

people are expecting to get double what they paid for them!!!!?!?!?!???

wtf
i have no problem buying tickets off someone who legitimatley can't go on ebay - not just people who deliberatley buy fuckloads of tickets and sell them ...
argh
angry right now

i'll just wait till later

This is shit. There's ticket merchants to contend with too - which dont exist at home

New York seems to be the same.. All the good tickets get snapped up by ticket merchants then you have to buy them at stupid prices. We tried to get broadway show and baseball tickets for NY 4 months in advance and they were already three times face value.

Robbie Williams concerts at Wembley were sold out before the tickets were released...

i think things might be a bit more difficult this year with glastonbury not being held. other festivals popularity will increase.

not really keen on any festivals this year.

Hope so...

Really though ticket scalping should be illegal - just like the other 'cutting off bits of peoples heads' scalping...

:? :? Though it probably is and the law isn't enforced....
