He really has moved away from his harder percussive sound. It's all good I spose. Cari went this way early last year but I think there's an EP out now with Cari back to his harder style.

The 'other' Adam Beyer mix CD you've track listed there is 'Adam Beyer - Timewarp Compilation 3' on Timewarp. I picked that up from Sanity of all places, on the w/end. If you like the banging, harder/faster (around 143bpm) side of Adam Beyer, and love hearing the 'Big Tracks' (yeah let's hear (re)manipulated again! arghh!) then that CD is for you. It sounds like a live mix, some tasty tricks and effects as well. Some great breakdowns, and build up's. It rocks! Better than Luke Slaters 'Fear & Loathing' I think.

If you like a lot more musical content, house shuffle, funk, soul, and hypnotic tech-grooves in your techno, then check the 'Adam Beyer - Stockholm Mix Sessions Vol 3' on Turbo. My copy arrived today, thanks SubStrata! have not seen it in the shops yet! This is more the sound that does it for me of late, I need a lot more musical content than just percussive loopism beats in my techno these days. Some really nice (dare I say intelligent) tracks, perfectly mixed, suspect computer edited (Compiled By Adam Beyer). I think even the Detroit techno heads will like this CD, with the likes of Aril Brikha, Jeff Mills, Steve Rachmad, E-Dancer, Kenny Larkin, and Soul Designer (love that '12 Months Of Happiness' track) featured.

Both CD's are great, and I don't think either CD has the same tracks as the other.

Check it!

Had a listen to Stockholm Mix Sessions Vol.3 on Saturday (fanks Milky ), it is gold, not as hard as I thought it would be - was pleasantly surprised.

It's on my 'to buy' list this week.
