The first time when it all just clicked?
For me it was Every Picture Tells A Story 16 Halloween at Altona.
Walking down the main hallway towards the main arena (feeling kinda strange and tingly) as some strange dude had given me a stamp of some kind ;0.Start to hear a piercing shrieking sound gaining in volume. As I enter the main room the track kicks in BANG! Trope- Amphetamine bursts out and 5000 + people burst into a frenzy and my mind explodes! Hello Rave Scene! Truly a Human Traffic kinda moment.
I'm from Syd but I was at that one ,
My defining moment from that one was seeing the lazers carve out the heads on Easter Island from the drop sheets hanging from the roof.
There was a EPTAS 16 ???????? Man I only thought they went to 10 or something :O

Nah they want to about 22 or something. I wish they were still around. No one threw parties like them.
Had quite a few moments like that...
1st Boom! party @ Palace with Carl Cox, a white dove from some English fella... electric atmosphere :)
The early EPTAS parties in footscray were farken superb!

Anja what did Sasha play at Aztec......wasn't it Hardcore......?????
Never went to no Aztec party, I was in Melbs. Mates at the time in Syd did.
The times I saw Sasha in Melbs it was pretty much Guerilla type stuff, hth

I think it was 22, or 21 can't quite remember. The Every Pic guys are sort of still around doing this sort of multimedia stuff now as promoters, they've got some shows coming up next week in Melb.

Defining moments would have to be the early every pic parties that were broadcast live on TVU. It's amazing they actually happened technically and socially. Another was Harmony mid 92 sometime at the TVU warehouse, a smallish party, with free punch scooped from a big plastic rubbish bin (bought new for the occasion), that had literally everything in it. I remember feeling quite happy and comfortably numb. :)

Seeing a person painted blue head-to-toe, pop out of ground in front of me (or so it seemed) at Smurf Village 3.
Trying to explain to someone on the dancefloor at Cyber City, where the Pop Shop was on Oxford St, while severely under the influence of a microdot.
Losing my mind on the dancefloor for 2 hours at Smile. Luckily I found it again. A very scarey couple of hours.
Lasers. Most parties. Lighting and sound production at Prodigy, Colossus, and old Utopia parties.
Countless priceless DJ sets and moments.
bloody smurf's eh!? they'll do it to you everytime. Just had an army of them marching past my window (melb) on Monday!! 15,000 of them (Commonwealth games volunteers) took them an hour to go past. Makes you dizzy watching them!

The first time when it all just clicked?
Field of Dreams 3 at about 3am when the laser show kicked in and the whole room was turned into a a globe of rainbow lights, while Southend played, flowers danced on stage.
And the place errupted.

My most defining moment was the first techno club I walked into - the Berlin Club here in Perth in April '92.
It had an amazing lighting rig and when I walked in the club was going nuts, the lighting rig was and so was the crowd and Set up System's "Fairy Dust" was the track being played.
That was when I just went 'cool, this is the most awesome thing I have ever seen'.
That moment is forever frozen in time in front of me.

Walking into Colosuss (my first rave) and seeing so many people in lined up in the main room going off.
I remember watching the the laser shows and being blown away. I had never seen anything like it. I knew from that moment that this is the scene I wanted to be a part of.

Thank you for that early morning flashback (or should I say, acid flashback?) I've got a smile on my face now. Colossus was, well, colossal, wasn't it...
Any of you oldies going to Transmission 10th birthday? I am - same venue as Colossus. :)

One moment that sticks in my mind was a Kryal Castle party. It was new years, Patrick Lindsey was banging out the peak set when all of a sudden the power to the decks went off. Befor i could stop dancing, Patrick picked up the mic & started beatboxing like a madman! Everybody went nuts and kept rockn till the power was fixed n he kept spinning! Each year after that he did a beatbox in the middle of his set.

A moment that sticks in my mind was when the Sun started beaming into the Showgrounds at Hardware 4.. For me it was the first morning that I was to see 1500 people dancing in the light, before that I seemed to either go home early or be stuck in a club room......
Cosmic Baby too.. man that dude rocked the palace and i was so off my head that straight after his performance i rushed the stage and hugged him.. followed by a stage dive into the crowd which steve from sonic animation caught me
