For those who like to hear the latest tunes by different djs from the four corners of the globe, here's some info from the latest newsletter from www.townb.com :)

News ::::::
The last month has been another funk marathon on the internet radio front. We had several stations broadcasting live from this years Winter Music Conference in Miami which, by all bleary-eyed accounts, was a great success. Another special was the 2002 Ostermarch on German station hr-xxl which featured 80 DJ's mixing back-to-back for 4 days. I tuned in for several sessions and strongly recommend it for next Easter's listening calendar.
Other notable news is that TownB now has it's own internet radio show up & rolling - 'Flipside' on Rhythm FM every Wednesday night 9:30-11pm AEST time. Each week DJ Curl Curl and myself spin nu jazz, deep house & techno, also presenting info on highlight internet radio shows and club broadcasts to check out. In the last couple of weeks we've had interviews with the Mille Plataeux/Force Inc artist Twerk (thanks to eyephunk) and also had a chat to Jazzanova (JCR) while they were in Sydney.
Mandatory Listening ::::::
Starting on a downtempo note, Kruder and Dorfmeister are doing a special live performance this Thursday, as a part of the Snowboarding special on Radio 1. Also check out 'Black and Blue' on RTR from Perth, Australia with Paul Gamblin hosting an eclectic show of diverse broken beats & more.
Breakbeat stalwart Tayo, resident at Bugged Out and the Big Beat Boutique is the newest addition to the Kiss FM line-up in London. Catch his show Saturday’s. Radio 1 have got more of the goodness with Rennie Pilgrem and Layo & Bushwacka both doing mixes this week for Annie Nightingale on Saturday night. Oh, and the Chemical Brothers will be co-hosting tonight's evening session.
For old-school funk, check out DJ Toz - a mainstay of the soul & funk scene in Paris and host to a regular Thursday show on Radio FG . Deep funk scouts will also appreciate the styles, collections and selections of PJ Grey who is host to the rare funk and soul 45's show 'Galactic Fractures' on WFMO.
Hip hop headz should get in tune with 'The Rhythm selection' on 95Bfm from New Zealand where DJ Dubhead & friends play all sorts of solid ghetto sounds. And for a dosage of the Sydney scene catch 'Droppin Science' on 2SER with subterranean beat junkies Blaze, Dr Phibes and Jade Nemesis.
Techno fans owe it to themselves to join Claude Young for his new weekly show, 'Capacitator' on Radio Magnetic in Glasgow. One of the original US techno innovators, Claude continues to inspire with his warm blend of esoteric sounds. For something that won't happen every week - Luke Slater is mixing this weeks headline set for The Breezeblock on Radio 1.
Canadian deep house maestro Nick Holder (NRK) is now doing a show each saturday on his hometown station CHRY in Toronto. Also check out the charismatic Damien Goundrie for 'The New Music Show' on Rhythm FM here in Sydney each Monday. For those who hadn't noticed already, we file most progressive shows under house when listing in TownB - so while we're on the topic, check out James Zabiela's prog house & breaks show on Groovetech outta London.
This month's drum & bass pick goes to 'The Booby Trap' show on Swiss station Basic with DJs Mathieu G, Andre and guests. And if you're online tomorrow, check out Nether-Bass on Bassdrive with guest DJ Rosco from the Netherlands on the wheels.
For sonic tonic on the heavily experimental side of the fence, try 'Label This' on KUCI with Veggimike playing sound art material, noise, avante-guarde & other oddities sure to keep you bent.
