a pleb is a small houseplant culitvated predominately in south america for its pleasing aroma and succulent fruits. commonly found in the living room of most houses, the pleb has become an integral part of the culture and religion. historical records date the presence of the pleb in households up to 5000 years ago. he traditional method of caring for the pleb has remained unchanged for all this time.

the pleb was the representative plant of the aztec god quetzagoatl, and is said to bring good luck when its leaves were crushed and dried and served on a garnish on many popular soups, and also goats meat. pleb and goats meat is often served as a dish at local weddings.

the pleb is treated with some reverence, being kept in the room of the house reserved for entertaining guests and special family occasions. if a households pleb is to fall from its perch and break, it is a grave omen, said to bring bad luck until the next full moon or foretell the death of a loved family pet. the bad luck brought upon a house by a broken pleb can be avoided by having the firstborn child of the family eat the fallen plants roots, or by having the local shaman make a special poultice from its leaves that must be worn for seven consecutive days.
