The official word is Danny Green got a small training injury.
COUGH COUGH COUGH

COUGH COUGH COUGH
They would've postponed it cause they needed to sell more tickets, simple.
Yeah, this is pay day for them. They wont fight unless it's big bucks.
I'm tipping Mundine to win on points, if Green doesn't headbutt him or something.
i reckon Green can do it and go down as one of australia's best sportsmen ever, simply because he flatterened mundine.
at least that's what i want to happen :)

So where did your information come from? No sign of it on any news wires or either's official site...........
what are you talking about? it got postponed a few weeks ago after green hurt his back training. Is this another postponment or are you just a little slow?
Neither fighter is gonna want to go into this less than 100% cuase its the biggest fight of their lives. Dont blame Green for postponing if he cant train at full capacity.
Green FTW late round knock out

I know it's pretty rich isn't it...
The idea that the fight was postponed due to poor ticket sales may not be far from the truth at those prices. Free tix ftw :P

both crap fighters, the only big fight they will ever have and thats just cause there both aussies.
it shoudlve happened 3 years ago
Crap fighters? Wtf you on about, both previous title holders dumbass.
Mundine's mouth used to be bigger than his punch, but I reckon he's got a bit more experience and skill now. He just has to watch out for that glass jaw of his.
Green is an animal and owuld have torn him apart 3 years ago, even 2 years ago, but I think Green has had his day. I haven't been keeping up with the rankings though, I'm not even sure who Green has fought lately...

WHAT FUCKING GLASS JAW
christ, I get sick of hearing about this non-existant glass jaw, he has copped plenty of hits on his jaw and not gone down.
*cough* ottke *cough*
:P
Only serious blow he has taken :P

great argument, 1 punch from one fight out of how many? if he had a glass jaw he would never have got this far pure and simple.

I think Mundine's jaw stood up when he went the full distance with that danish guy was it?? The one they called the pretty boy?? Everybody was expecting the Man to get beltered by his opponent and he went the distance. Was very impressive in that fight I thought.
There's no way The Man will get in a slugging match with Green. While there's huge build up about the fight it could turn out to be a really boring fight in reality. I expect Mundine to just jab for points and run around the ring the whole fight and try and win it on points going the distance, he'll be too worried about getting in close as he knows Green can finish it with one punch.
^^ Yeah Green is a brawler, I reckon Mundine can beat him with skill/points. Still wouldn't surprise me if Mundine spends the whole fight on his back foot though :meh:

I do agree with cruisy though, I thought he stood up well against Kessler. But I'm yet to see him take a real good flogging.

both title holders WOW!
lost them before they even had them!
there only wins are from cans from nz/islanders and are nothing on the international stage.
whoever wins this fight probably has 1 more title shot left and the loser is finished and both fighters knows that.
anyway this is whats going to happen
step 1 - mundine vs green - mundine win, gets possible title shot
step 2 - mundine outclassed again and loses the title fight
step 3 - big rematch between mundine and green this time green the winnner
step 4 - final fight

Mundine is an ex-world champion. A dicky knee world championship belt but a World Champion nothing less. No matter what belt you win, you've gotta have done well to win a WC.
Green would've won against Beyer until he was wrongly disqualified in Germany before getting smashed in the rematch

i dont think mundine stood up well against kessler. he just ran away from him. sure he may have lasted the rounds but he didnt land any meaningful punches.

are you for real? i was there and i thought he did awesome. kessler is some pretty stiff competition who knocks out a large percentage of his opponents. even though he lost i really thought it was a step up for mundine's boxing.
Mundine is gonna smash green! the only way greens gonna win is on points, but mundine will KO him before the end!

Mundine ran from kessler?? mate did you watch the fight? i was one of those people that wrote mundine off and hoped he would get knocked the f out against kessler, but to mundines credit i do have respect for him after WATCHING the fight. Mundines previous fights were jokes, beating on old bums from 4 corners. now when he didnt knock people out in 2 rounds and went the distance he did run against Echolls, that fight was a joke. after that i lost all respect, but kessler is a machine!! mundine stood in front of him and fought. Danny Green is a diff prospect to kessler though, while kessler knocks alot of guys out he isnt the "brawler" DG is (and echolls for that matter). i think danny has lost his edge, and it was after the fight in perth with was it soliman that went the distance when DG got heat stroke??
Anyways im on Danny!!! but really deep down want to see a good fight
I hope Green knocks him out.
I HATE MUNDINE!X(
it'll be close but mundine should win by way of agility over a sometimes sluggish green.. but hey, anyone can get caught if they get careless or arrogant and mundine has potential to do one or both of those things.. and you don't want to wear a close shot from green..

Mundine will do an Apollo Creed and just try and dance round Green all fight. Here's hoping Green does an Ivan Drago and kills the fucker..
