It was really popular when I was living in germany of all places.

I was not a fan of it. I have seen it here (in Melbourne) at few places. A liquor market in deer park that has a huge range of import beers on the ballarat road. I also saw it at Piedmontes super market on brunswick st fitzroy.

Yeah you can buy it in Melbourne all over the place seems like. Salitos is the popular brand here. I never had it till i came here. It's not bad, but very sweet. Kinda like drinking goon. It's still <5% too so it's a pretty expensive way to get pissed.

It Doesnt matter just drink Bluetounge, they have beer flavoured BEER!!



But didnt Carlton Cold do something like this...it had a red tape around the beer instead of the normal blue... I remember tasting it and it was weird, I think it was something like 8%

Guy in the warehouse nextdoor to us runs a Beer import company.. I will ask him and let you know.. I assume you are in Sydney?

It was really popular when I was living in germany of all places.

When I was in Germany, they'd just started promoting and selling beer pre mixed with cola. If there was a more disgusting, putrid and offensive tasting mix, I don't know about it. But funnily enough, a few people were drinking it.

I made a Veer a while ago. Order a pint of VB and a can of Diet V. Drink half of each and combine the rest. I had two of those and along with a few more jugs of beer i was bouncing off the walls all night. It's weird, the beer head goes all foamy and green and disgusting but it doesn't actually taste as bad as you'd expect.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the posts, it sounds promising but does anyone know if they sell it/where it is sold in Sydney?

The beer is not for me, I am tracking it down for somebody.

If noone knows if it is sold in sydney is there any way of getting it carted up to sydney?

Good luck Jason, I've been looking for Cafferys for about 2 years now. Try Dan Murphys, if they dont have it, you prob wont find it anywhere.

Oh I loved that beer- I fist had it in Prague and fel in love with it....ohhhh sweet sweet tequila beerr *drool* I didnt think you could get it here though :( I am keen to find it in Sydney too.

The germans have Kolaweizen, its part hefe weizen part cola also

Deisel which is part Pilzner part cola.

Radler part pilzner part sprite.

Cant say Ive seen either out here. not that I have looked.

When I was 15 (12 years ago) and first started drinking My favorite drink was XLR8 it was a cola flavoured beer. Im not sure if its still made though. It was avialable from every safeway back in the day

Coke and beer mixes quite well. Again, VB is a good starting point because it's bitter. You don't want to mix sweet beer or it'll taste even more shit than it did unmixed. Take VB and Diet Coke then mix to taste. Again, use Diet and not regular, otherwise it'll taste all sickly sweet and gross. The chemical reaction is better than with Diet V (i.e. you don't get dirty green foam) and it tastes alright too.

My dad used to mix beer with lemonade for us when we were kids. That's alright, but i wouldn't know where to find decent lemonade these days? Solo maybe?

Yeh the guy next door to me seemed to think it wasn't beer it's actually just flavoured?? I'm not sure, and he thinks it was Heineken who tried to bring it to Aust. only it didn't work..

Engine drivers for the win. Shot of scotch in a schooner of beer. You order them for people and they don't realise they're drinking a beer thats roughly 10% and they end up getting horrendously fucked up :thumb:

Swan used to have a beer called Mez or something which was brewed with Tequilla about 5 years ago. It sucked and lasted for about 6 months.....

hahaha far out i remember you from a long time ago dude...

as for subject matter, holy shit that drink is popular here in France. and it.is.REVOLTING. utterly utterly disgusting!
