I think the thing that draws people to harder trance is that hard house lacks the variation in beat, builds and variety seen in trance, and "normal" trance is not aggressive enough, doesn't have the strong bass line that sends you sprinting for the dancefloor. That's why I like harder trance.

Ive noticed this thread is slowly beginning to fade away....i encourage all of u to keep adding tracks at least once a week or at least chuck ur 2 cents in about listings and opinions of other well known/underground tracks.

This thread is miiint and i dont wanna see it die...keep it up guys ive picked up/heard some new tracks since the thread has started and its been great...everyone has been so positive and unlike other threads im proud to say its stayed flame free.

Ive been listening to alot Kai Tracid stuf recently and have been heavily drawn in by "Trance & Acid", the lyrics enough to keep me entertained yet this track has something more...

But ive rediscovered a track thats just quite recently been out on vinyl so heres my contribution to the revival of this amazing thread:

I just dl a fkn awesome mix of Signum's - Coming on Strong, its by legendary S.H.O.K.K and is surely one of -the- best hardstyle/hardtrance tracks ive heard all season, its amazing the original had this melodic feel to it but this, this spits all over melodic and deconstructs the basslines and makes the alot more prominant with blistering riffs and synths that inturn create this new racous drug-noise; the bassline are thick and unforgiving and often quite relentless until about 3:10 where the melody beautifully arises building continually the pounding subtly contining in the background till the buildup can build no more and it rips open into one big fkn beast of a track and the vocals slowly deterioate and become absorbed into a huuuge belting beat that is relentless until the buildup continues around the 5:00 minute mark, preparing slowly recide into is shell with a continous beat that will leave salivating for more...

get it - or forever hold your peace.

Third Planet, I agree with u saying that Apex Virtuoso is 1 of the best trance songs eva. Its incredible!!!
Were u lucky enuff 2 b @ Gatecrasher SSS Melbourne late last yr, Scott Bond played it straight after Jose Amnesia - The Eternal (pulsar mix), possibly the most amazing 12-15 mins of my clubbing life....
HOWEVER, I do not consider virtuoso 2 b hard trance @ all, I believe its a much softer, more melodic song, and hence I dont believe it fits in2 the hard trance genre'...

After listening to it I think I've made a mistake by clasifying it hard trance , not such a big fan of Hard trance although I do love it second to melodic ..
That must of been a wicked night whata nice combination, it maybe would've brought a tear in my eye being in that situation, eternal and virtuoso wicked .. Reminds me of when Scot played the classic Miss Shiva - Dreams (Cosmic Gate remix) last year with those visuals an all whata memory burn ..

Ok, so I'm thinking I dont know enough songs to actually put a list up, most of the songs I know and love were mentioned here! Much of my hard trance knowlege is curtesy of Binary... I am forever grateful!! :blush:
Anyways, afew comments: stasis, you sooo have the new nik fish albulm! HOW good is the first cd?? I recognised lots of the tracks you had in your list from that cd! Hardcore Motherfucker sounds soooo amazing when it mixes in with cosmic gate - hardcore... makes me melt every time I hear it! A big nod to the DJ Spoke remix of The Realm, as well as the Arome mix of Incoming, and free your feelings by DJ Tom-X. Ahhh.... LOVE that cd... oooh, and the Yoda mix of Too Many Times also found on that cd is nice too!

Bracko: I love Beam vs Cyrus - Lifestyle too... it always makes me smile for some reason. If you havent already, get the megara vs DJ Lee remix... very nice!

dude relax... cw was just sayin his taste is closer to mine and ta's than the others posting in here. i haven't posted many tracks but the ones i have i absolutely love. and i question the origins of "german" trance. ppl seem to think hard acid trance is german trance... in fact they think lots of hard trance is german trance. sure a lot of it comes out of there but there's also the rest of the world. i'll never say german coz it's too over-used & meaningless :)

Dude u need to settle, this thread wasnt intended to show "how many tracks we have" or furthermore promote an eltist attitude.

It was given birth out of the pure compassion of people who have a passion for hard trance and want to share that passion with others whereby contributions for tracks, tracklists, track IDs can be further vertified, simplified and multiplied by the countless thousands who seen the post(s) many to which have benefited out of the birth of thread - each of them gaining a further understanding about the music at hand or pickin up some wikid tracks to add to their growing collection that will ultimately like mine; eat away like a corrosive toxin at their hard drive :P

We're here to help people out; and me in paticular am here to spread the gospel of trance to ensure that never again will they return to the dark side (except for the dark repetitive beats that will lull them into a dream like state)

Im sure u can say Angel that you were one of many who ultimately benefited like myself from this thread - so has cloudwalker and it doesnt fkn matter where he/she/it is getting their information/suggestions/help/advice/encouragement & furthermore a passion to fkn keep listening to the tunes that makes his or her heart skip a beat.

I love this fkn thread and you know why?
Until now its remained relatively flame free and driven purely by those who have a passion for the style of hardtrance/hardhouse/hardstyle/acid trance etc. not by those who are here to fill space every single post has been great - till now and i hope that this fkn pettyness doesnt come up again we're here to share the love for the music guys not to depcit ourselves as eltists who know more/less about trance - but to engage in a truly rewarding experience of being apart of as to go far to say 'tribe' of people who are driven by nothing but trance.
keep the tracks and the positive attitude comin' the enthusiasim in this thread is staggering and never should this flame be blown out at the hands of petty eltistim or attitude.

Because only then it would it be classed as hardtrance.

As for "Never Look Back" the best mix of that is clearly the Tiesto mix and sorry that aint hardtrance but f.uck its a wikid track.

Agreed there dude, they absoluetly fkn kick, esp. NU NRG's Dreamland...

If uve heard Johan Gielen's Recorded 2 it fits superbly in a mix thats shrouded with nothing but pumping hard trance.

Excuse the ignorance i guess, its hard to classify trance...especially when its structure culminates huuuge drum rolls like Lethal Industry to huuge f00king melodic breakdowns like Dreamland :P

Im not too sure what incited you to come up with a broad sweeping generalization like that especially when u havent even substantiated it with events that you would regard as "too many" as well as pidgeon holing possibly all those who are under 18 and clearly dont do drugs; as gurners...

f.uck the ignorance off and realize that not everyone can be categorically placed within a stereotyped legion for easy reference... but rather recognize that they deserve the benefit of the doubt without having to be judged superficially purely of the basis of their age and if u think there are 'too many" under age events:

a) dont go to them
b) how do they pose a threat to ur lively hood or ur enjoyment? they're most probably at venues ud be going to anyways.

In future if your going to make statements about stuf like thatat least try to substantiate/justify it with a minor amount of proof or reasoning - because u never know who your going to offend.
