Apparently there is a group of brazilian soccer maestros from the streets of Rio that are travelling around the world taking challenges from local teams in a 5 on 5 competition.

Anyone can sign up and enter a team on the website.

My team OZ LOCOS won the competition. We had a scare in the semi when we won 5-4 in extra time. Won the final 5-2 but went down to the Brazilians. They were ok, nothing special. Considering only one person in my team actually plays soccer and the Brazilians make a living out of this, losing 6-3 to them wasn't too bad.

It was 4-0 at half time but the second have we scored 3 goals and they scored 2. They got really angry coz the game wasn't as easy as what they thought it would be. If they played against a half decent team they would not win.

Best from Rio? Not likely.

Anyway, we received $10,000 cash plus a Nokia N91 worth $1,099 each. Not a bad day in the end.

That semi should have been the final. It was by far the best game of the competition.

I might be able to get some photos for you. I saw someone I know with a camera. Give me a few days though. Weekends arrived.
