Dunno where I've been but I only recently heard about this label. Can anyone shed some light as to whether or not it's worthy to start collecting?
I noticed a few of my fav producers have work on there, so I'm not sure how that got past me.
Anyway, as you were...:D

Merck has got to be one of my favourite labels of all time. Sadly they are coming to an end soon and wont be fully appreciated until they are gone, in my opinion. If you are new to some of the artists, check out Merck Mix 2 or 3 where they cram a wide scope of electronica styles into a beautifully sounding mix. You can get Merck locally through Couchblip!

As far as collecting goes - they have small release runs, spiffy artwork and sometimes specialty coloured vinyl etc so yeah go for it.

All the Merck mixes are dope as hell....

My fav artist on there is Machine Drum. Love all his albums

merck is an absolutely fantastic label.

murcof, esem, proswell, deru, malcolm kipe, lackluster, machinedrum, tim koch...

they pretty much churn out nothing but amazing records.

OMG, how could one forget 'Malcolm Kipe', 'Lit' is fantastic, 'Breakspiracy theory's' is also great
though.

Deru, another prime example of fantastically coloured production.
oh so Limpet.

What will become of these blokes now that Merck is over.

Hopefully some more Nautilus from Skyler McGlothlin.

i'm not too familiar with all of merck's output, but i have a few machinedrum records that are really great. the recent boxset was awsome, but way too pricey for poor djs like myself. why couldnt they just do an LP?? :-(

yeah, merck's last record has already been pressed; think it was proswell's latest one. it's a shame, they were a wonderful label. but i suppose it's good for them to go out on top.

wonder where all the artists will be moving.... i know a couple have gone to sending orbs....

Couchblip! Distro is finished closed now. {:-(

We wanted to concentrate on releasing music again.

The webstore is all that is left.

It's a pity cos i see so many releases discussed here that we have Distro'd
like Merck, Type, Hefty, 12k, ghostly, etc.etc.
We also have a constant influx of labels with really hot music asking us to get on board.
i have no where else to offer them. It really sucks! {:-(

Bugger, I was under the impression that you weren't going to do the distribution just a webstore. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.:thumb:
