they give us our own forum and people still wanna persist with the stupid old way of doing stuff.

if u want to talk about a topic, post a thread so we dont have to wade thru crap like this to find it.

Why have separate threads for each set of new tracks you want to mention - I know I like learning about new shit to buy/dl and keeping it all in one place is really helpful

Now back to the tunes I'm loving the white lable breaks remix from Gusto. Not sure exactly what it's called. After doing a quick search on chemical records I found
Deep Impact vs Gusto :: Discos Revenge :: White [PROMO]-White

Can anyone confirm this? it's real funky party breaks and has a " HA !!!" at the start of every 8 bars.

I dunno but I hated the original of that - terrible house music; although the deep dish remix was sort of tasty ...

if its deep impact though I cant imagin it being very "party" breaks as they are normally dirty and darker

One bootleg I am really getting into at the moment is Tom Neville's Fuck Dancing releasing ...

Phat as tune with that lovable "Don't Smoke Ciggarettes, Don't Take Any Drugs, Don't Go Out At Night - Just Fuck" vocal over it ...

some insights to above trackkisting:

Playgroup "Frint 2 Back ) FAt Boy Slim Mix
Soul Hooligan "Algebra" (Mr Breaker and Technician Mix"

Although it is listed as 2 seperate tracks on the CD this is actullay one 6 mintue mash - remix Icey did of the 2 on a dubplate. he claims "when i play live, this dub plate is always trainspotted hard!"

Isle Natividad is actually an Icey alias.

I'm takin 2 rekkid bags to India for 3 months, im takin a mix of trancy deep breaks ( thats the sort of demo CD I sent them) and a mix of hard gurn your tits off breaks ala breakfasterz styleez. I reckon a site would be beeding indian eyes going off to Spit it Out... :D .

Some new breaks tunes I'd like to get my hands on:

JDS - Purple Funky Monkeys <--- I'm warming to this and frankly it would send a packed room nuts
Basskleph - Wildcard <--- stupidly funky breaks, but so cool
Drumattic Twins - Le Funky/Rock Steady <--- Funk!
Future Funk Squad & Mojo - Sorcery <--- that gurn-a-rama rapping track from the Drumattic's set at Winter Break
Force Mass Motion - Why Me? <--- mmmmmm, tech
DJ Moon & Breakneck - Nasty Groove <--- The Moon mix blows, but the Breakneck mix is fucking dirt, and I love it like that ;)
DJ Mutiny & Co - Daily Operation <--- more dirt
Kid Kay Ferris - Phil Collins Running <--- God Damn! Weird, whacky, warbly acid breaks, just the way I like it.

Whilst the set I sent you (and the one that will be played on pulseradio on tuesday) wasn't funky breaks so to speak , it was party orientated because that was the sort of night I was playing at, I should send you a copy of the demo i sent to India. It was a set I played at a house party last weekend which I recorded for the intention of taking it to India.
Heres a track listing:

1) Kraymon - Just press play
2) Shine a Light - Not the Lee Combs mix (one on the flip
3) Hyper - Outsider
4) Peter Paul - That black label that says "Promo 2004" on it

(Sorry will appologise now for lack of knowledge of track names, hungover + no actual records in front of me = lack of memory for track names)

5) Ride - Chable and Bonnici ( I know its been hammered , I love the track and I'm sure the trance loving nation that India is will too - and im sure it hasnt been hammered there)
6) Stella - White Label
7) Turn Me Out - Christian J remix
8) Age of Punk - White label ( Didn't like this track at first, bought it , never played it out until I heard another local breaks dj play it on the Ambar sound system - loved it then)
9) Resistance is Futile - (cant remember producer but its got a FFS tune on the flip , Functional Breaks 26 it is I think)
10) JDS - Blackout
11) Vertical Sound - Hz (I think its called that, its the one with all the squellchy bleeps in it and the dropping bass note that rumbles the bass bins Im tellin ya!
12) Spit it out - Breakfasters (after listening to this mix over and over , this was prolly a bad selection after the Vertical sound track but Its really only there to show the different styles i play)
13) One Perfect sunrise - Stereo 8 Mix, (chucked this in there to finish the mix , again the selection of it after the BF's tune is prolly not the best , but just there to show the indian's what gurner trancey breaks is all about ) ;D

The one I sent you was actually recorded live. It was a gig I played at the Kitchen Night Club . THeres some shit in there that I did totally by accident and it just happened to work. Have a listen to Hyper V Midi - We've been waiting, at the breakdown near the end of the song, just before it kicks back in you will here a voice repeating on the CDJ1000. I was meant to press play on an accapella there (Missy Elliots pass the dutch ) that I have looping but instead I paused it. Luckily it was in time with the beat and the jumping of the voice fit in well.

I just scored myself a copy of the Future Breaks CD and I must say...GOOD! The first disc showcases the biggest of the funky/nu-skool breaks tracks over the last few months all mixed very smoothly and mashed up nicely by Melbourne's Ben Shephard. But it is the second CD that is my favourite, mostly because Keltec is without a doubt my favourite Breaks DJ around. This mix floats beautifully and smoothly between deep, melodic progressive breaks, dirty and techy floor destroyers and big fuck off nu-skool head rippers, showcasing the side of breaks that just doesn't get enough play here in Australia.

My verdict - go out and buy this fucking CD, you'll orgasm the first time you listen to it, and on subsequent listens obtain multiple orgasms. 10/10

spent most of my nite in the breaks room and had a ball. got there at 5pm and who was on......lee coombs!! played a bit eraly i thought but got straight into it, played some new stuff and stuff that ive heard like lick the frog and turn me out etc

then straight into the stanton warriors,. they played their new dubby vocal style and it was awesome!!

then the plumps came on!! this line up was stupid!! they were my faves played all their new stuff and kept it pretty hard, my track of the nite was when they played the soul vibrate, it went offfffff!!!!!!!!!

then went to the bedrock tent and checked out sasha and digweed play (almost put me to sleep!!) then zabiela, who killed as per usual!

back to the breask tent to watch hybrid play a fat deep set, was awesome and then hyper finished off the event with his trademark techy hard style, he played heaps of stuff off wired, but most of it i hadnt heard out so it was loved!!!!!!

all in all having a kick arse time over here and if any of you guys come over, PM me and i'll meet up with ya, especially for a trip to fabric,m theire lineups week in and out are unbelievable!!

mr thew,

the crappy DnB track on the bside of 'push up' (original mix) is a clipz remix of 'the slammer'.

poxymusic do a remix of 'get a life' and it has the kraftykuts remix of 'punks' on the bside.

the original 'get a life' release has the roni size remix of 'get a life' on it's bside. confusion clearing? or has it just gotten much worse ? :P

ok...when i said single I'm talking CD single here. So I think they've just fucked up and typed the wrong artist on the CD. I might go into a record shop to see if it is the Roni Size mix they put on the CD. It doesn't sound like anything poxymusic would do.

I guess I can't complain too much since I only paid $5 for it...and i got the plumps remix of push up on there too

from memory the cd single track listing is ...

push up (original mix)

as for the music, well fuck me!! straight up was krafty kuts, played some pretty fat stuff, no hiphoppy shit that he's been playing, not too shabby i guess! then onto rennie pilgrem who killed it for me! played some similar tunes from his field day set, finshed up with rock ur body, his mix, quality!! lee coombs vs meat katie rocked, they played some quality acid breaks and they really worked well together behind the decks! shook lee coombs hand too! he's a champion! stayed on for hybrid who were awesome aswell, similar set to their one at global but still had me creaming my pants!! one of my mates who's from canberra got talking with one of the guys from hybrid (guy with the scruffy hair not sure of his name) and after a while he asked him in behind the decks and they were chatting for like half and hour!! bastard! they're both really freindly as well, gave em a few hi 5's, as you do!!
back to the main room to see soul of man finish it up, played rocksteady by the twins, awesome!! used it as an accapella too i think, sounded sick, but in all the madness still missed evil 9, splitloop, freestlyers and the plumps due to clashes!!! how crazy is that!!

anyway guys i can reccommend coming over here just to experience it hey, unreal!!

have you heard crazy or method of doubt - undoubtedly ( :p ) my fav. of their Big breakfast samplers, their percussion, basslines, melody, fills - if you listen carefully there is a shitload going on in their tracks - some do get repetitive, I give you that for sheezy, but dang there is some really well produced quality in there. (I know, opinions opinions, but I don't think that 'not really anything going on' is a valid comment ;) )

haven't heard that 30hz track, but am a fan of some of his other production.

Some new shit I bought:

DJ Mutiny & Co - Daily Operation/No Compromise
The new one on Hardcore Beats, this definitely doesn't dissapoint! Two massive peak time brain melters with some twisted samples and basslines from hell. Nice interesting percussion and drum breaks too.

Jammin' - Go DJ (Remix)/Uptalking
Two new ones from D&B don DJ Zinc! Really nice grimey basslines drown out some crazy old school garage drum patterns with some hell funky vocal samples on both tracks, with Go DJ being better for funky floors and Uptalking for those who like to griiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiind. Drop this and watch ppl get horny

Aquasky vs Masterblaster - Krush Groove/Cobra
I'm not a huge fan of Krush Groove but Cobra is where it's at! Exactly the kind of dark, nasty, twisted peak time madness I like!

The Operators - Furball
This track requires no description, but all I can say is I'm a very happy man now that I own it on wax. I nearly orgasmed the first time I heard this and still do now.
