sure they do, and they read the streetpress, and they read itm. they just dont talk here. the bris forum is very well established somewhere else and it's proving very hard to lure ppl here.
i already told u where everyone is candlestickmakr....
So does that mean we can claim this forum ?

hmmmm, well.....hmmmm....
what the feck is wrong with people up here?????
and no you cant take the damn forum and claim it as your own. you southern bastards - you already have enough.
well it's wednesday up here - the three brisbane clubbers must be out seeing the latest big dj pass through town. try asking again on a saturday - theres sweet FA on then.
Hey Nardo, nice to meet you the other week? How did you enjoy Sydney? Which venues did you end up going to again?

they already have a dance discussion community, it's just somewhere else. the issue is to make them crossover from reading ITM to discussing in the forum. i know bris ppl that read ITM but not often. Raise the profile, raise the relevance and they'll come.....

Polecat roams the world through the net. So while I'm sitting here in the south, I'm an ex-Bris gal and still know whats happening there right now (many ppl recovering from Jeff Mills last night and Kazu showed the local DJs know how to rock it).....thus i post in this forum.

I went to Gas and Home on Friday and then to the Metro for Seaman/Maas on Saturday. Top notch stuff - had a great time. Good to meet you too man.

I agree that we need to increase our brisbane content. To do that, we need some more Bris contributors.
Nardo and I are working on that at the moment. So if you're in brisbane and think you're up to the challenge, or if you know of anyone who might be, drop me a line.
Having been at inthemix from pretty much the start, I've seen sydney grow, melbourne grow, Adelaide grow and perth grow. The trick is finding a few people who are really passionate about the local scene so that you can share the load. there's a lot to do to keep ITM going and if the load is shared around a few people, it makes it a lot easier, more fun, and ultimately effective.
Everything that appears on the site, no matter which city it's most relevant to, is there because someone took the time and initiative to put it there. I reckon maybe 20% of our content is there because we asked someone to do it. That's not much at all. The rest is there because someone got excited about something and wrote it off their own bat. That's pretty awesome. And it's a pretty good reason to keep going the way we are - growing naturally.
All ideas for helping that growth are of course welcome (in fact, desperately needed!) so bring it on Brisbane (or ex-brisbane people... when I first started writing for inthemix, I wrote more articles about melbourne than Sydney, even though I was living in Sydney) get excited and start writing stuff.
that's all from me. sorry, I get a bit excited myself sometimes ;-)
