Adelaide is nearly on the same longatude as Sydney...

Drum'n'Bass is big in Adelaide. So is the Hard House/NRG. Take Enchanted 2001 as an example, probably the biggest gathering of DnB fans in the country all grooving to the sounds of Krust and Die. The System 6 area was huge and went off all night/morning long. What a party!!! Big thanks to the enchanted crew.

all styles have there scene and crew.
drum and bass is big, hard house (i cant stand it but it exists unfortunately), house (all types, but i only attend the underground side of things). i think breaks are becoming bigger too.
i miss the techno that adelaide use to play. take me back to clinic and recon days...

I would have thought Techno was Adelaide's biggest ever style, followed by rave (breakbeat/acid house) in UK and europes style, Slipmatt, Force Mass Motion, local DAMC etc.. Drum and Bass is big these days, but most of it's gone shit if you ask me..

trouble with Hardhouse is that well boring relentless punchy bass drum and baselines and samples ripped of from every old classic toon ever, then poo'd all over and thrashed to death with agro pitched-up trashy rhythm sections, and about as much originality as vegemite on toast... :p

ps. Oddy's biggest contribution to the rave scene MUST be the hotdogs he served to weary party goers outside the ark during the mid90's.. ;P~ saved my life on many an occasion. ;D
