Do you like the Psychedelic Hypnotic sounds of Psytrance/Goa? A sound which is a fusion of Techno/world music/electro Industrial/psychedelic rock. Not to be confused with what is often called 'trance' these days.
Or have you been a regular:
In Sydney at: Psychology, Trancendance, Artcore, Yak and Yeti, etc parties including Summer Dreaming/Cyberglade/Cyberotica
In Melbourne at: Earthcore, Shiva, Bass Station, Greenant, etc parties including Rainbow Serpent Festival/Earthcore/Seacore
Or some other similar party in your own city?!
If so then theres a new place for you to come and find out about upcoming Australian goa/psytrance events, and chat with other Australian people who are also into similar events. Chat about events, or find someone who can take you to a party, or just have a general chat about whatever.
The place is the IRC channel #psytrance, located on the oz.org network.
Those of you unfamiliar to how to connect to IRC (inter relay chat), you need a program called mIRC for Windows (www.mirc.com) or ircle/Snak for Macintosh, or X-Chat/BitchX for Linux. Once you have these you need to connect to the Oz.org network (go to www.oz.org for information on server names to connect to). Once there just type '/join #psytrance' to join this channel, and from there your ready to go!
