Im just curious to who rips there vinyl (preferably trance) to Mp3 format?

and if so, what are the benefits?
is the sound quality s good as they say it is?

Ive been trying to pick up alot of vinyl rips recently but theyre increasingly difficult to find online and generally people are not as happy to share them.

In paticular the sound quality is near perfection and often the vinyl rips are alot longer in length - i just recently downloaded the Promo Vinyl of Signum's Second Wave and have been in search of any vinyl rips that are trance related.

In paticular:

System F stuf
Tiesto
Corsten
Armin
PvD
Picotto - the Pulsar 2002 mixes are out and about on AG

That really uplifting, melodic dutch trance is what im after...

Anyone with any websites other than TA and Djmixes2K or has some sort of "secret" FTP with heaps of em on it and is willing to share;D
would be greatly appreciated.

Generally Vinyl rips are best because the quality and length havnt been compromised by CD or radio playtime.

Im not sure if these are vinyl rips but i hope they help :)

better still get yourself some decks ;) or even one cheapy deck and start buying records to support the artists ;)

I would rip my trance records, i have most of what your after, BUT its way to much effort, i tried it on my laptop but the sound card is dodgy so the samples sound worse than a tape :( and im not cartin my decks or pc around.

Yeh i can imagine how difficult is would be...it just sucks how difficult it is to get a hold of Vinyl Rips.

I checked out those sites, their ok but didnt have much of what i was after - alot of live sets.

Thanks for the efforts anyway guys - much appreciated.

I'm more than happy to rip trance vinyls, though i dont have that many myself, but if anyone needed their trance vinyl's ripped to mp3, i could do that as i have it set up to do that right here.
