Any of you old-schoolers excited about Nitzer Ebb's little tour next month?

Nitzer Ebb were the other hugely influential on dance music from the Mute label, the other being Depeche Mode. NE's music has been given all sorts of labels as well, industrial, electronic body music (EBM) etc. We used to listen to em heaps in the early 90s and they never made it here so are quite excited:lol:

They play Melb on fri sept8..... JOIN IN THE CHANT!:ninja:

They play the Evelyn on said date, not the most "immense" venue but should be loads a fun. I've read the revues of their gigs last mth in London and Germany and ppl are raving about them:bow:

Come along mate, should be mad, we'll be off to Altitude for afters:ninja:

Farken mad mate. THe crowd was way too goth dark for my liking but didn't matter when they got on.
Was Doug & Bon and some chick as an extra percussionist. They did loads of classic Ebb, opened Getting Closer. Godhead, let your body learn, chant. Were on for an hour, 1 encore.

haha as to be expected! ;p

i never really got into NE...was more into FLA and Skinny Puppy...been listening to some Crash Worship and 23 Skidoo lately which is a lot weirder

i think nitzer has been rather popularized in a broader sense (at least within the 'rave' scene) by the many techno remixes of the last 10 years...

Nah, always loved the Ebb, head Join in the chant and got That Total Age and was hooked. This was just before I really got into dance music properly.
Enjoyed FLA, Cyberaktif and a bit of puppy as well :)

For good reason, they were a huge influence on a lot of the original techno and euro-rave producers :D
