Folks

Montreal-based Deadbeat (aka Scott Monteith) will be playing an exclusive live set at Club Kooky at Club 77 on Friday Oct 13.

Scott records for ~scape and makes lovely warm dub techno in the style of Rhythm & Sound, Basic Channel and Pole. More on Scott at http://www.techno.ca/deadbeat/

I am pretty sure tickets will be only $10!

red bull makes me ill, although i've heard it's a poor man's viagra (ref techno thread)

unfortunately i have had 2 big weekends in a row, last one being a stupidly very drunk one - didn't know this was on dammit! i really can't do it again, must have my beauty sleep, i'm not 44 anymore

Fair enough... I think I have an old man liver too :(

Bryn - You can find it here (http://rapidshare.de/files/34806473/Deadbeat_-_LivePA_at_DEMF_06__28-05-2006_.mp3) as from this (http://contribute.inthemix.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=179222) thread

Yep looking forward to this!

It's great having Kooky on a Friday too for us working folks...

Should be an interesting contrast for me that night - am going from The Church (who I haven't seen play for about 15 years) to Deadbeat. And why not I say :)

If I tell you the set times will all you babies stop complaining about not being able to go???

Its a FRIDAY night (no work next day for most)

We're on at 11pm
Deadbeat at 12:30am

so if you can bring yourself to spend a couple of hours standing at the back of the room stroking your chin, you can still be home by 2.... ;)

you certainly don't have to 'stay up all night'

no excuses now!! heh heh

(or you could stick around all night and enjoy seymour and gemma's excellent tunage....)

For sure - Seymour and Gemma always manage to pull out some of the most interesting, and suprising, quality tunes I hear out at any club :)
