Not sure if you've heard much about this down in Oz, but coming up this month here at the Tokyo Fim Festival will be a sneak preview of the new anime movie TEKKON KINKREET, directed by Michael Arias (who worked on The Animatrix)...

And the soundtrack is by Brit electronica boffins PLAID!!!

Should be very, very cool indeed...

Beyond was one of the better parts of the Animatrix, I thought.

this should be very interesting. Plaid's been keeping himself quite busy lately!

I think Plaid did a collaboration with Mark Broom or someone this year or last. But nothing big on the Warp font.

Two fellas in Plaid - Ed Handley and Andy Turner. Both ex-Black Dog. Check out their recent 'Greedy Baby' DVD / CD set with visualist Bob Jaroc - my IDM / leftfield pick of the year:)

The anime sounds insane though Andrez - wow, anime and Plaid; two of my very fave things:)

I just interviewed the director yesterday, but have been sworn by my editor to keep it under wraps fer a few weeks... stay tuned...

In the meantime, not sure if you're interested, but I interviewed Ed from Plaid a few months back, and that one's online here:

yeah chris i've got the greedy baby CD but haven't peeped the DVD yet. very keen though. reminds me, i should place an order for that sometime soon.

Wow - what a cool opportunity; I'll def. peep the interview link and have a read; also def. keen to check out the director interview when it happens (my Japanese is so-so):)

...movie is great - I saw it the other day at the Tokyo International Film Festival. Plaid soundtrack is yummy!!
