Successful label owner, radio host and founder of the infamous Concrete djz
crew from Belgrade in Serbia, this lad is a real techno warrior and talented
producer with an exclusive mix for this week�s show

Nemanja Mitrovic aka DJ MITA born in Belgrade/Serbia started his interest in
electronic music in 1995. Influenced by his father he began listening to
Kraftwerk and Jean Michelle Jarre productions and later found other artists
that kept his interest in the area of electronica, like Front 242,The Prodigy
and many others. At the age of 16 he found the club scene in Belgrade and
started going out on a weekly basis. As he learned more about music and dj
skillz he found interest in producing music and the development of urban
culture. In 2000 he began mixing his first records, playing in small Belgrade
clubs. After some time he was resident in clubs barutana, akademija and mondo.
His style can be described as a combination of dark and hard techno. Member
and founder of notorious Belgrade dj organization Concrete Djz, owner of
Armatura Record label his productions have been released on respected labels
such as Blackoutaudio, Armatura, Mastertraxx, Hardsignal, Beatboost, Crowbar,
Polymeric, Submissions, Betamax, Compound. Also a promoter and organiser he
made possible for Serbian techno lovers to hear : Dj Ogi, Charlton, Staffan
Ehrlin, Dejan Milicevic, Kay D.Smith, Lars Klein, Chris Liberator, Dave the
Drummer, Dj Murphy, Mark EG and Distek.

The Nick Curly mix is fucking wicked. There's a weird bit around half way through where it's like he just stops the track and starts a new one. No idea what's gone on there.

I need an ID for one of the tracks in that mix too.

That real percussive track with the sort of disco feel to it. 1:12 in.

They have made numerous significant appearances on the Austrian territory, forming part of the hardtechno elite, at events such as xxx=overdrive, The Big Sunflower festival, Schranz for Austria to name but few. They have made equally significant appearances abroad, especially in Germany.
Apart from rocking the Austrian hard techno scene these guys are starting to make a name as quality producers, with releases coming up on Centerfire Records and DataBlender, confirming their hard work and dedication.

i've been a fan of kazu for a long, long time. he was instrumental in getting me into techno with the dj excursions mix he did with will e tell all those years ago. but this mix just is not there at all. a real disappointment. i hope/presume he sounds much better in the flesh.

It was again recorded at Mbar, Helsinki and the whole mix is 100% vinyl just like the other 4 Technofunk mixes. So no editing, no Traktor, no Serato. Just 58 minutes of great music.

Biz has been an innovator of electronic music in Australia since the early days. DJ, Producer, Promoter, Record store owner, Label owner.. The list goes on.

He has been responsible for introducing countless people to the cutting edge sounds coming from around the world through his memorable DJ sets as well as through his parties, radio shows and record stores. Biz has worked alongside and toured some of the greatest electronic music artists of all time. His legendary Flash parties saw the likes of Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Carl Craig, Claude Young, DJ Godfather and DJ Rolando visiting Australia.

Biz is currently focusing on getting his music out for the world to hear and has so far released over 20 records worldwide. He has been charted by the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Dave Clarke and Derrick May and has remixed artists such as Green Velvet.

We have known Biz and enjoyed his music for a long time and are extremely proud to present to you his transmission, a live performance of his tracks captured for us at Sydney night TECHnique.

Not sure if I have posted it here before the set below is really a must listen.

A Guy Called Gerald LIVE @ Redevice Invites, Studio 80 (Amsterdam), 13-12-2008 (http://rapidshare.com/files/174230444/a_guy_called_gerald_-_livepa_at_redevice_invites_studio_80_amsterdam-13-12-2008-UMP3.mp3).

I only found out about Gerald on NYD this year (by accident) so to me it is so fresh. My research tells me that the tracks probably arn't new but my god the man melts my brain any time I listen to a set.

It is essentially 4 x 4 but it is just so different to everything else that I listen to. If anyone can point me in the direction of similar arists it would be much appreciated.

If it hadn't already been done before, I would have started a 'this set...' thread.

Below is one of those sets that gets better every time you listen to it.

I would actually go as far as describing it as perfection. In saying it is perfect I am not saying that everyone will like it. I am saying that (hindsight has made this judgement easier) the set represents a perfect between the two artists and their music, the presentation of the music and representation of a project (in this case being the Blackstrobe project).

As a deejay Joris has been around for a while, spinning since 1997 in different clubs nationwide. Besides doing his �high energy� live sets Joris loves dj�ing as well, playing a wide range of techno and house with his own remark. Never boring and always innovating because that�s his nature.
His first two productions on the Dutch label �Keynote� named �Muted Trax pt.1 and pt.2� were a success and got extremely good critics nationally and more important internationally.
End 2003 �Lost memories Pt.1� was released on Technasia�s SINO label, and will be followed up by �Lost memories Pt.2� may 2004 containing two killer tracks already been played by many.. [Clarke, Garnier, Deetron, Technasia].
Next to the first two releases of our �Sound Architecture Records� label there will be new material released on Transmat, Keynote and his debut album on SINO [end of summer].
Summer 2005 and Joris' new outlet Reen saw the light of day. Then in 2006 Joris released MPX309, A crossover techno workout that appealed to almost every dj around the world. Also in 2006 the Rejected label was launched with the help of his friend Edwin Oosterwal. Then we jump to 2009, a balance mix cd that got critical acclaim from the who's who in electronic music and fans alike, an Essential Mix that is sure a hot contender for Essential Mix of the year, smash hits like Sweep The Floor and Chase The Mouse destroying every dance floor they come into contact with means one thing, Joris' future is very bright indeed.

For me Luke's Anger (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Luke%27s+Anger) is one of the real innovators in the UK at the moment, especially live, and he's released stuff through Kid606's Tigerbass imprint and Jerome Hill's Don't; he also played an absolute killer set at the last BLOC party.

"2 live recordings for a new year - one recorded in the studio, and one recorded Live @ Rote Fabrik in Zurich 11.12.09 - The quality was pretty bad on the Zurich recording, I cleaned it up as best I could but there is still a lot of noise there - These sets are pretty raw, as I�m still becoming accustomed to the Hardware/Ableton configuration - I do like the roughness of some of the live jamming, just some of the transitions seem a little too rough, I don�t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing - I�ll leave that to you to decide."

The last Clubbed Up Podcast of the decade and we go out with a bang as welcome Pan-Pot to the show.

In just a few short years, Pan-Pot �the duo comprised of Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix have become a central presence in electronic dance music�s most advanced sectors. Their rise parallels that of their home label mobilee, coming at a time when established categories are breaking down and accepted notions of �minimal� (please) are giving way to an unprecedented degree of dynamism on demanding dancefloors. Another mobilee signee, Marco Resmann, was a founding member of the group, but has since left to concentrate on his solo work.
The defining moment of their career, however, was the release of their debut artist album, Pan-O-Rama. The first artist album to be released on mobilee, the aptly named Pan-O-Rama provided a stunning 360- degree tour of techno at its most twisted, balancing somber atmospherics with an impeccable lightness of touch. Serving as a playground for their experimental leanings, the album was a definitive statement of Pan-Pot�s past, present, and future: an affirmation of the possibility of a wider sonic spectrum that suggested a move towards stripped-down techno while simultaneously hinting towards a newly developed sense of melody.
Their willingness to expand the components of their productions while staying firmly rooted in what they do best�colossal, haunting techno tracks overflowing with noise and static, throbbing bass lines, and epic builds that manage to be both tasteful and restrained�is only part of what differentiates Pan-Pot from the hordes of other techno producers currently flooding the airwaves. They may name themselves after a piece of gear, but Pan-Pot�s music is ultimately about moving bodies, not knobs, all the while giving way to an unprecedented degree of dynamism on dance floors around the world.

This week we welcome a man from Glasgow who has risen quickly through the ranks of the techno scene Gary Beck

It was only a matter of time before one of Scotlands leading young techno producers burst onto the worldwide underground dance scene.
His first release on Philladelphia's 'Worship Recordings' label in 2005 was only the beginning for this talanted artist, as In 2008, Ritchie Hawtin's 'Minus' signed the massive 'consumed', and Gary has never looked back.
His deep but fresh quirky style is in demand from Glasgow, to Tokyo and all over Europe, and is well respected for the party atmosphere he creates.

Gary can count on support from many of the biggest names in Techno, including Josh Wink, Dubfire, Chris Liebing, Len Faki, Slam & Richie Hawtin.
His style can be heard on labels such as Soma, Edit Select, Minus, Figure and many more. He is always in high demand for remixes, and has recently remixed for artists such as Christian Smith, Audio Soul Project & Mark Broom. Gary is also working on new material for his own imprint 'Bek-Audio'. The first release on Bek001, 'Over to you' was immediately picked up by Hawtin & Dubfire to name but a few, and stormed into the Beatport techno chart top 10.
