I'm not sure what this thread is about
It's about electronica/downtempo/experimental though ... that's for sure.
anyways ... whilst stumbling about online looking at pretty pictures and things i discovered that the cover of Meat Beat Manifesto's R U O K album features pictures of an EMS Synthi100. Jack Dangers apparently has one of the very few working ones left alive

turns out no more than 30 of these were made ... and one of them was purchased by the BBC which was put to use in the likes of Dr Who and the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series.
So yea ... i was just sitting listening to R U O K and realised and understood where some of those smooth and trippy electronic bits are emanating from ... this is the kinda shit you just can't do with a copy of Ableton :zabiela:
but then again ... at least Ableton doesn't take up your whole room
