More appropriately a drinking ensemble where the wheels fall off and some members occasionally electrocute themselves or fall off stage and bust up limbs, the Little Nobody Elektronische Ensemble (or just plain LNEE for short) is a seasonal collaboration these days whenever all the members are in the same place at the same time.
God forbid.
It brings together Damian Stephens (Isnod), Allan Klinbail (Son Of Zev), Andrez Bergen (Little Nobody) and vocalist Marcella Brassett.
In the past, especially over the years 1999 to 2001, the LNEE were principally a live act that took the piss out of the "live" concept, as well as a hilarious pastiche of experimental electronica over the ages, culminating in a raucous remix of The Doors classic Light My Fire on the IF? compilation Reaction Hero.
In 2001 they also released the limited edition CD of live mixes dubbed Live, Sorted & Tauted.
The LNEE played at the Off-Shore Festival in 2000, supporting Spearhead amongst others, and dabbled with live support for Squarepusher's tour of Melbourne in 2001.
They also came last in a Monash Uni Battle of The Bands competition... amen to that.
They'll be dusting-down the LNEE after a two year hiatus (one member, Andrez, lives in Tokyo, while vocalist Marcella was off travelling round South America, and Damian and Allan have their own individual projects and lives here in Melbourne)...
So, we dare you to dabble with the LNEE experience twice on Saturday 10th February...
First of all, when they headline at the IF? reunion party Zuzushi 2, at Horse Bazaar (397 Little Lonsdale St, in the city), from 8pm, then when they play later that same night at the next More Bass party at Ace Morning (791 Sydney Rd, Brunswick)...
Good luck.
:ahoy:
