I thought this would be just another little nook with a few old glass plate cameras... went and checked it out and HOLYFUCK do they have a lot of cameras!
Not just any old shit... really nice collectors items, a lot of stuff I'd really like to have.
I felt like a kid in a lolly shop!
I actually felt a bit angry, some of those cameras are still great performers and would most likely still work and kick arse over any digital camera despite being 30 or more years old - they shouldn't be locked up, they should be in the hands of artists!
Shit like Rolleicords and Leica stuff. Some really beautiful examples there and they've all been polished up and restored.
The gold-plated Hasselblad 500 has to be seen to be believed!
I want to know where they dug all this stuff up. It'd have to be worth millions!
Check it out if you're in Melb, salivate over those awesome cameras.
