effects/sampler and mixer? (urei 1603), or a everything in one?

I'm wanting to buy a four channel mixer and get rid of my numark dxm 06.

I was thinking about getting a urei 1603 mixer and buy a kaoss pad 2.

I want to have a mixer with an effects and a sampler. I also want a mixer that i can connect my technics 1200's upto and also have a couple of channels spare for a cdj and hopefully later on a midi controller.

Can somebody explain to me what the aux send return is actually used for. that's the input for an effect unit or sampler right????

the urei 1603 is N O T a 4channel mixer per say.... it's a 3 channel mixer with a dedicated mic line.

only 3 channels are full kill, channel 1 is only -10db.

the mixer I'd probably tell you to have a look at is the DJM800 or the Nuo5 or the xone 62 with a kp3.

each option has their advantages and disadvantages.

An aux send is an output you can route a submix of your signals to, in order to be effected by other hardware (adding effects, processing, etc). The effected signal then "returns" back into the mixer via the aux returns, or you can use any other input channels on the mixer if you like.

Only 'cause it's the odd one out in your wishlist. And it won't connect to your mixer, no matter how many channels it's got. :)

hhmhhmmmm. fair enough. i haven't properly looked into that ey. I thought they could be hooked straight up to one of the channels, but obviously i was wrong. my bad :thumb: i will definatley b getting my cdj though.
do u think with that in mind that I would only need a 3 channel mixer or would a 4th channel b the better way to go. me much to confused :stroke:

62 isn't expensive anymore.... but the jump between the 62 and the 800 could be $500 or more.

how much is the urei? you can get it here for under a grand from the states, which i assume would mean a $1100-1200 price tag here :?

the urei 1601S has a sampler, the 1603 doesn't have one.

and why would you hang out for a mixer that hasn't even been released by concept photo yet? it could be up to a year before they hit australia!
