I dont know if anyone else has heard it, but a track that Oakie seems to play twice (i think someone has spliced the mix..) on the 2-hour version of his creamfields 1999 set is absolutely amazing. Oh my golly gosh, what a brilliant song. It is listed as Miro - By your Side and I'm just downloading every version i can find

On a similar note, do people agree that trance definitely peaked in 1999 with the quality of stuff like Oakie's world tour -
Sydney - Second hour is brilliant
Shanghai (Rojam) - Reasonably good mix
Ibiza - fantastic.. lovely melodic simple trance. He even manages to fit in some whoppers (at the time) without them sounding cheesy. He plays Skydive and Bullet in a gun, but they still sound good even today. I wouldn't normally consider them interesting on any other mix
Creamfields - Last 70 mins (which is the most common version) is possibly the classic trance set.
Miami - Good in its own right
Havana - I don't really have a good version but seems good from what i've heard
Liverpool - What a way to end it off. Brilliant.

Since then, there seems to be a tendency to produce harder, throwaway trance that employs a catchy rhythm or clever vocal, rather than actually being of lasting quality itself. 99% of tracks produced today are simply innovations of stuff that has been done 6 months ago. Nothing feels like it is going to last for more than a month or two, and certainly not 3 years. highly disappointing.
