Having just read <b>nardo's</b> great review of Respect Is Burning up on the Gold Coast, and the line where <b>nardo</b> notes that this may herald the start of a whole new scene up there, it got me thinking.
Now the last thing I would want is to turn beautiful old Queensland into a mecca for drunken slobs and ageing old men and married women, parading about the beaches in way-too-small bikinis and 'avin it large' with... wait a minute....it's already turned into that!.. ^_^
Well, let's start then with the small hope that even more artists of quality make the journey up there. If enough local support is shown and the word gets around about what a great climate they have, we may very well end up with our very own 'Ibiza on the Gold Coast'.... sure would beat the hell out of sharing a 10,000 punter venue with all those drunk German and English tourists on the real Spanish island!! And a lot cheaper too!
And if not Queensland, how about gorgeous Perth? Arguably the best beaches and climate in the country and possibly the largest underground rave scene in the entire Southern Hemisphere?
We've got the ideas: now who's got the money?
