Not without a firmware update I believe. I tried using mine in MKIII last weekend and it was a big no-go

really? i thought that it worked putting a mk1 or 2 into a 3 but not vice versa.... i got three's and rarely use my card when i am out using 2's so i am not sure!? i think u gotta switch the unit off, change cards then switch it on when u are putting them into a mk3

All i know for a fact is.. I walked up to the MKIII taking over the night from a previous DJ, popped the MKII cards into the slots, closed em up, and nothing happened.

well Angus ask him to check his firmware and if it is older than 2.20 and needs an update then call me, i still have the cd. or of course it is still available online. and to my recollection the update was mainly for master tempo and disc reading, not the memory card!
how old are the cdj's cuz the update did come out like 2 months after the official release but i think some as old as sold here 6 months later still had the 'old' firmware.
* Turn the player on.
* Press down the RELOOP/EXIT button for 10 seconds. The system version will appear on the player's display.
Check version
about 4 weeks old if that :P
first thing we did out of the box... there was a CD with version 2.0 on it... but they already had version 2.2
