I've seen alot of music software before but never really explored it with DJ'N. Now Im well into DJ'n I want a program that I can simply
drag tracks into the program
change the tempo
Have beat marks (where the beat is)
be able to change the EQ in parts not the whole track
And able to mash up with othere tracks (so like a mulitrack)
At this stage i dont wanna produce.

Any ideas.
By the way and one looking at getting CDJS ive looked everywhere and the cheapest place is JBHIFI. cdj800mk2= $1000 cdj1000mk3= $1450

Prices for the Pio have been discussed a lot and it always comes down to JB hifi for the best prices...if you have been quoted by them(JB) $1000 and $1450, it is very good indeed, usually I heard $1050 and $1650 for MK3, so as far as the Mk3 goes if they gave you that it is really good.
JB hifi has buying power, they might be doing a big order and then re-distributie all their stores thru out Australia.
Another point, normally by their terms as outlined on the website, Pioneer does not authorize its distributor to sell on ebay...and talking ebay...they are a lot of scammers out there that are taking advantages of the popularity of the Pioneers...beware not to fall in the trap, it is not worth it.

Nah dont u think virtual dj and traktor are crap. Like i dont wanna mix them like i wanna kinda bootleg them.
Just cool mash ups.
Adobe audition was a really good peice of software however it doesnt allow you to find the beat. Its just a matter of mouse accuracy.

i saw Funk D'Void play a marathon 5 hour set up here in brisbane last week. he uses Traktor 3 with a midi controller for his DJ sets, and Ableton Live for his Live sets. i reckon traktor is the way to go unless you want the want the feel of vinyl, then serato
