Passing Judgement on Melbourne Clubscene

Alright Melbournites, a few of us Sydneysiders are coming to your town this weekend to pass judgement on your Clubscene.

Our group are into Hard tech/house, none of that overly trancey crap u guys seem to like so much. For those of you who have been to Sydney, clubs like Plastic, Sublime, and Icebox (Thurs, Sat, and Sun) and "My Place" 61 Regent St are right down our alley.

We will be arriving on Thursday night and have been told to head straight to Teriyaki. The rest of our agenda is open and would like some local input on what to check out. We don't plan to sit on our ass and do nothing during the day like most of you panzies so make sure you tell us what recoveries go off.

All the clubs that JJB mentioned are all shitholes and he doen't understand that Melbourne is 10 times more techy than Sydney. I am from Sydney, but I won't defend it. If JJB had a brain he might have mentioned Scissor*Paper*Rock or Chinese Laundry.

ok. so you "sydneysiders" think you're so good with your plastic or icebox or whatever you call it. if you want real partying then see if you can handle thurs nite at teryaki, fri nite at bass station (only coz cage is closed), sat day at capsule, sat nite at bubble (only coz there's nothing else on), sun day at tatou and finally sun nite at viper which fucken goes off and is the perfect end to the weekend!!

let us know how you go. and next time please don't pass judgement on melbourne clubs before you have even set foot in them...us "melbournites", or whatever you like to call us, are very touchy about this subject as we are afraid of people like you coming down and ruining the atmosphere in these fucken awesome clubs!!

I know several clubs I cant stand in my hometown (Sydney) that I wouldnt even send my worst enemy ( Who happens to be the Hamburgler from the Macca's ad's - damn that no good so and so to hell! ) to because I dont like the sound or set up or crowd or whatever..

Remember, putting sh*t on someone's town is wrong..not to mention un-clubber like..

Actually everyone drop an E and call someone from Sydney/Melbourne and tell them that "I am sooo smashed.. but I swear I luv you man!...you rock dudes!" etc etc

With an attitude like that I advise you to rethink coming to Melbourne, as people here will just laugh at you. Although you would like to "pass judgment" on our club scene.....you really cant do that in one weekend, as Melbourne has a diversity of styles, subcultures and clubs that you probably have never experienced before in Sydney, and can take several months to fully explore. I advise you to chill the @!#$ out......happy clubbing.

I took Judge Joe Brown to Teriyaki and he and his friends were absolutely overwhelmed. They loved it and fit right into the scene. I think Melbournians tend to get a little defensive at times. Have a bit of class and ACCEPT THAT YOUR SCENE IS BETTER without getting all stupid.
