i really want to start djing but kinda low on cash...
i was thinking about getting something entry level like CDJ-200s and a DJM-400 and i was checking out ebay and cannononline are selling all 3 plus either a bonus case or headphones for $2,350.. just wondering if anyone thinks that is a reasonable price for the gear or could you suggest somewhere else that may have reasonable prices??
ive seen a lot of people talking about JB hi-fi but the closest one of them is a few hours away from here and i cant seem to find anything on their website... any help would be appreciated...

www.storedj.com.au is a good place to reference prices against, they usually do a pretty good deal.

There is a bloody good deal on ebay at the moment for 2 x cdjs 800mk2 plus case and mixer for $1999. Just search cdjs and it should come up.

If your wondering about JB Hi Fi why not give your closest store a call?

yes

ITM is not a substitute for looking shit up on google, or finding out shit that you could find out yourself by calling the store.

lol $2350 seems a bit high...you could surely score better gear second hand for that mony but then again...if you are not experienced...don't think for now you need a DJM400...but it is up to you, to be honest if not going for P800s P1000s or D3500s, I would get a dual or Sometimes you can get on ebay some numarks axis all in a box with mixer, headphones etc...for less than a $1000 that is good entry...saves you $1350 and with tht you can get just a single P800 or D3500.

Just to give an example, got D3500 from an ITM member for $2000 with UDG bags, then scrored a DNX300 (Which I love) for $299plus something like $20 shipping, the DNX300 was basically new and so were the D3500s, do the calculation...Normally such a set up is in the $3900 with bags...maybe the mixer is less sophisticated than the DJM400 but very satisfied with it...would not exchange it for CDJ200s and DJM400

so thanks everyone who helped me out you've given some information that will no doubt help me... thanks!!

seriously Its a public forum. Why shouldnt people use it as a research resource?
Hold your mouse over the thread, have a look and move on if you cant/ dont want to help

There's doing serious research and then there is being lazy. There is nothing wrong with using this forum as a research resource - Thats what the search function is there for. In this case there are a gazillion threads on "best prices for CDJ + mixer".

Best thing to do IMO is exhaust all avenues first then start a thread in the knowledge that the info isnt genuinely available.
